Is there some sort of already set up version of stepmania?

Stepmania is harder for me to get into because its alot harder to set up, so many custom themes and all.

Can someone explain how Etienne has those settings on stepmania, primarily the MA/PA meter on the left side where it also shows %? Is that part of a theme? I can't find it..

Also, is there a way to hide the combo + accuracy in the middle? If I had that PA meter I wouldn't need it, atm the combo and accuracy just blocks my view, any way to move that or customize it?

I feel like someone should make a ready to download version of stepmania with all the best note skins, and settings already set up. Could even include the super common packs. Right now it feels like its really hard to get into.. I used to have stepmania fully set up to how I liked it on my computer, my HDD died and I figured I backed it up, didn't realise it saved all the settings in appdata for some reason though. Right now I have no idea what to get.

I think he's using the spawncamping wallhack master theme in that video(not sure. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=141588 ) Another theme you probably wanna check out if you use SM 5 is Transcendence. If you wanna be sure wait for him to answer you or visit his stream(https://www.twitch.tv/etiennesm) and ask him when you see him online. A good website for themes is http://sm.ajworld.net/themes/ but i'm not sure how updated it is.

Regarding noteskins i personally like the default one the most. Also, if youre using the very lastest SM i think the noteskins changed(theyre calling 'em newskins if im not wrong). You can get some noteskins at http://zettbou.co.uk/ . I think the waffles noteskin is pretty good(you can probably find it somewhere in these forums or by googling it).

I think many games use /my documents/games/gamename or %appdata%/gamename for the profile data so it's not rly surprising. If I'm not wrong tho, i think there was a way to make stepmania portable(make it save profiles and all the settings in the stepmania folder). I believe it was done by manually editing some config file with smthing like "portable=1" or similar.

I'm using delta custom note skins now, they are basically the white delta ones from FFR. Spawncamping wallhack was terrible, it felt like i was supposed to be using an Xbox controller while using it :/

I used to like staians theme a while back, might have been ultralight, but even so I can't figure out how to get the PA meter, I commented on etiennes YouTube vid asking one time but never got a response

Ideally there would be one universal version for competitive play, but eh, I guess I'll have to keep searching for themes n stuff.

Edit: the key things would be, for me at least:

1. Extremely light theme, no custom animations and sound n stuff, just a super basic song select, ideally extremely simple menus when changing settings, if I were to make a theme I'd probably try to remove all the worthless settings from the song customization menu, I'd just have speedmod, rate, difficulty, scroll direction, perspective, mines on/off, holds on/off. IMO there's no need for all the unnecessary mods like adding extra arrows, hiding arrows, making em spin etc.

2. The PA/MA bar while playing, showing relevant info on screen like your rate, judge, % so far n the song.

3. Hiding or moving the accuracy and combo off the center of the screen where the notes are. I'd much rather have the combo be at the bottom or out of the way like in FFR, right now it just blocks the notes for me.

4. Ideally Include all the common noteskins that people use.

Also, it'd be cool if there was an easier way to install songs. Obviously it's pretty quick, but I'd imagine newbs and such might have difficulty. I'm not saying something like osu, but what ever happened to smzips?
