Glad to hear you've found the sweet spot Reincarnate.

I miss squatting, but I've found I can squat pretty deep on the hack squat machine comfortably so I've been doing that instead. It's definitely a quad dominant movement that way since I'm super upright, but it's still pretty good and it doesn't affect my back at all.

I am really shy when it comes to this type of thing because I am really ashamed of how bad my body used to be.

I had started dieting at the end of June and lost a significant amount of weight so far, but I was never able to really see the progress and never wanted to talk about it (bad self-image ftw). A couple of months ago my mom took me out and bought me a dress that didn't fit me at the time, but she said it'd be a goal for me to reach so I could fit into it.

I completely forgot about it until today and decided to try it on. It still fits A BIT tight at the top (it was squishing down my boobs), but it fit everywhere else just fine and I think it didn't look so bad on me.

I've lost 43 lbs so far and I'm still working hard at it. :)

my bench progress has been little to none lately, and im pretty damn sure it's my shoulders that are the main issue

video might not show it well, but im able to partially dislocate both of them on command with no prior injury. Everything else is progressing quite well except for my bench and ohp, started rotator cuff work this week to see if it'll help.

Bench and OHP are slow to progress even without that problem, so keep at it. As long as it isn't painful you should be good. Keep your shoulders locked and as tight as possible.

I finally hit 245 x 7 bench, almost 245 x 8. Now shooting for 250 x 7. Getting there. Predicted max of 295, whereas my biggest bench ever was 275, so I've definitely made substantial gains. Looking to push for a 315 max for christmas.

Also, nice progress Starlight. Don't be shy about it. The key is to remember that any progress is good progress. It doesn't matter where you came from, but where you plan to go. That's what matters.

Been pretty flaky with the gym for the past couple of months, but have been going almost on a daily basis now since I recently moved into a brand new apartment with a state of the art gym. I know it isn't much, but I was really proud to be able to do 8 pull-ups in a row today without much trouble when about 2 weeks ago I could hardly manage 4. Looking to be up to 10 by next week.

Also starting to get some minor stretch marks again which, although slightly discouraging from a cosmetic point of view, must mean I'm doing something right.

iirc Reach used bio oil and it handled stretch marks well (though this may have been for acne, not sure)

Yeah, I used bio-oil pretty religiously on my tricep and thigh stretch marks for a few months. They're completely gone / completely skin tone at this point, so I definitely think it works.

Also works for acne scars if anyone has them, really it decreases the redness of any scar. Even decreases the redness of keloids somewhat.

Don't be afraid of bulking then. 9-12 month bulk, gain 2 lbs a month. Get as strong as you can.

That'll put a stretch mark or two on you. Cut down, and then use something like bio-oil and honestly you'll never even know they're there. My fiancee can't even see where mine were anymore.

That's some serious progress. Good job!

Just benched 255lbs for 5 @ 160lbs. Hoping for a 1rm of 315 by end of 2016.
