What do you do to mix things up?
I'm hardly very good at the game (I often fail to FC difficulty 5/standard songs, so yeah). When I fail a song, in particular a song that I've played at least once before, I'll switch to my left hand and do my best with that.
Actually, I'm almost as good with my left as my right, it's just certain things (namely doubles) that I have trouble with. I actually AAA'd a song lefty....So what if it was a difficulty 2 song XD So what do you guys do if you feel like mixing it up?

I think I get what you're saying, I don't really do that, my hands have good endurance.
Though I usually crack all of my knuckles after playing a song, it feels great imo. |

Re: What do you do to mix things up?
I'm so used to playing the way i always have i never play any other way. I used to play one-handed and switched to four-fingered since i was much better in the latter.

Re: What do you do to mix things up?
Kind of a broad question, but sometimes I
1) play diagonal 2) try missing yellow notes (or a variation of this, like hitting only 4ths and 8ths) 3) play using the keyboard for 2 keys and the mouse for the other 2 (this is fun :3) As for play style... I was a one-handed player for a few months when I first started playing FFR, but I've never really looked back since I've changed to spread. Maybe I can give that another try sometime.

Its sort of an "Oh well, already screwed up the FC, so I'll just practice with my left hand instead now" type of thing.

Re: What do you do to mix things up?
The only way I switch things up is by changing noteskins. Sometimes I'll even play with ring/middle fingers -- there's not really much to switch up when you play spread. Maybe I should consider learning one handed just for the fun of it.

Re: What do you do to mix things up?
I play CS 1.6 then go to FFR then 1.6 again lol.
I do a 10. If I can't AAA it within the first 3 tries, I go to another 10. If I seriously can't get any 10s, I tell myself I can sightread all 9s except probably Nanairopanda. I'm lazy to do any 9 lol |

Re: What do you do to mix things up?
I usually just play the same way (spread 1.8x) but occasionally I'll switch to one hand with the arrow keys. Not too long ago I actually made an account strictly for practice one hand, but I don't even use it anymore. :P
