Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Nodame Cantabile: Finale, Re: Cutie Honey) is supervising and writing the scripts, and acclaimed animator Sushio (key animator on Gurren Lagann and new Evangelion films, character designer on Engage Planet Kiss Dum) is designing the characters. The untitled project will be at Imaishi's relatively new studio Trigger. Aniplex registered the kill-la-kill.jp domain name.

The story centers around two fiercely fighting schoolgirls, Ryūko Matoi (pictured left) and Satsuki Kiryūin (pictured right). On a campus ruled by force, a transfer student wielding a Basami sword brings about upheaval.
Decided to make threads for airing shows for episodic discussion.

I need to catch up on this sooooooo badly! I am on episode 10. It's awesome so I will avoid this thread until I am caught up.

Even though it is a bit fan-servicey I really love all of the female characters in this show, Mako is one of my favourite characters ever

I haven't watched since ep.17. It doesn't have the same addictive quality Gurren did. I'm not dropping it, so I'll catch up soon (probably today actually. My friend has been kicking my ass about it.)
...he says despite starting (and failing to continue) a Nonon invasion.

It seems pretty addictive to me. Things continue to get more ridiculous with every episode. I imagine the last two episodes involving really crazy scaled fights. With lots of blood of course.

Reminds me of this. I will be getting the Ryuko one whenever it comes out. Probably 6+ months from now.

I don't like the character development. Satsuki has felt like a flat character the whole series and she's one of the main characters. Ryuuko is pretty much the same as she does the same thing over again without learning or getting stronger.

The Elite Four arc proved that she can get stronger and improve herself, but they totally blew that up with what happens afterwards.

Also the plot progression is all over the place to the point where I don't even know what is going on anymore.

pt. 1 I have to find out who killed my dad!
pt. 2 I know someone who knows who killed my dad!
pt. 3 What the fuck, my dad was killed by a loli. Nerf Nue
pt. 3.5 I have to rescue the clothes my dad gave me!
pt. 4 Okay let's go full nu-- no fuck that, I want to wear this extraterrestrial as my covers
pt. 5 World Domination is fabulous!

pt. 1 =/= pt. 5

and from the spoilers I've seen it still hasn't gotten any more clear what their point is.

I'm stalled on episode 6, i was planning on just waiting for it to finish airing, and then doing a mini-marathon to finish it. I found the show decent so far, but it didn't really have the impact i was expecting considering the hype.
