He probably looks better with fat on him, once you get that shredded you look old/tired as fvkk.

EDIT: Found a non-shooped version of him. Still big, not quite as "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS".

How's the fitness journey going everyone?

I tallied up my progress since Aug 21st when I stopped my cut. Combined usage of calipers + BIA fat analysis shows I've gained 4.5 lb of lean muscle and about 1 pound of fat, and about 2.5 of water (glycogen presumably).

Pretty damn happy with those gains in 10 weeks. Looks like the '0.5 lb per week' trend is still continuing for me after 8 months of training.

Bench has gone from 165x10 to 190x10.
Squat has gone from 225x10 to 280x10

Total weight up to 170 from 162. My target weight then is about 185-190 or so, depending on how lean I stay, before starting my cut in May.

Gettin' all kinds of gains. All kindsss

PS: I found this transformation on reddit:http://i.imgur.com/5ZzGs.jpg

This guy lost 155 lb in 11 MONTHS

That's like half a pound a day.

No excuses any of you

Up 15 pounds after starting my "cutting" diet. He switched me to sweet potatoes and I'm starting to feel a bit flabbed, but I'm still shrinking everywhere but my waist.

I sprained my wrist ~1.5 weeks ago and still can't lift weights at the gym. Any suggestions on how I can get my lift on, or do I just have to wait for my wrist to recover.

I'd wait it out in fear of damaging it to the point of being more than just a sprain.

Dude, you're almost benching 2x body weight at this point. That's pretty fucking insane, you know? You're bordering on physiological maximums for natural lifters, haha (well into elite according to exrx).

I'm going to try to set a PR tomorrow, 195x10, first attempt at 195, but probably won't happen. But here's hoping.

Squats though, I just keep moving up. 285x10 today, no problem. Could have gone 11. 290 next week should be easy, so I see myself hitting 315 really damn soon.

Bench though...man. Progress is definitely there, but it's slow compared to squats. I find I usually get an extra rep each week for bench, but not always, and I lose like 2 reps when I move up flat out, so right now I'm progressing at about 5 lb per 3-4 weeks vs 5 lbs per week on squats. x_X

I always wait out injuries. Rest it, ice it, compress it. When you start back, start light for a bit until you're comfortable.

Yeah, trying to get back to 425, that's my goal for the next coming months. Squats are going slow because I always go "I CAN DO THOUSANDS OF POUNDS" and my back says "nuh uh!" but really, I'm just trying to carve as much muscle into my legs as I can, so I'll stick to heavy leg press and lots of heavy leg extensions while I work my squats.

I got stuck on the bottom of the bench, so that's pretty much back that I have to work. Back's always been a bit of a pain for me, and I've been hitting it hard, so I imagine that'll get fixed soon.

You can definitely get there. I don't know how much higher you'd be able to go though without going unnatural. Aren't too many natty guys out there that can put up a lot higher than that, but I don't know if you have any plans to move beyond the realm of mere mortals or not.

Not to mention you probably won't need to lift more than that for bodybuilding purposes.

Either way, it's impressive as hell. Nice work!

ffffuuu I'm ready to see that!

Yeah, unless I manage to get a sponsor, not sure if I could make the leap.

Hell, I havent even cut the fat off yet. I might be some super godly person, but chances are I'm just like most people, and I'll only get to do regular shows. I just do this because this is what I love, honestly.

You wont lose that much muscle mass in just a few weeks.

You can always do some leg work (leg extensions, curls, etc) just that will probably kick up the rest of the upper body.

You'll shrink, but a lot of it is just glycogen. You'll fill back up when you get into the gym.

The loss won't be much actual muscle if you're eating right.

Soooooo it finally happened and I hurt my knee during a squat. Nothing major or anything, but it just goes to show you that my form is leaving something to be desired somewhere

You hurt your knee? Have you been going up in weight?

Dude, its not going to get better by having us tell you, just gotta keep practicing.

If you overthink it then you're more likely to cause injury to yourself. Just work with what you're able to, and try to go a little lower each time.
