Also, you're typing a bloody forum, not a technical manual. Using multiple obscure words in every sentence doesn't make you sound more intelligent, it makes you sound like an egoist that likes to hear himself speak. Just words to the wise, take 'em or leave 'em. Finally, if you want to debate literary objectivity or the like, make a thread in the appropriate forum and kindly send me a PM. I'll discuss things further there, if you'd like. EDIT: Quote:

Oh right, the tiebreaker. I guess I forgot. Not sure exactly what you're going for with these meaningless couple sentences...
As evidenced by this thread, people play and become obsessed with ffr for the supportive community of future authors, philosophers, scientists, and leaders of the world that inundate its forums. We can always depend on the members of ffr to treat each other with the dignity and respect that is so clearly deserved by each and every one of us. =/

Re: 3,000 or more credit Writing tournament
well, the challenge was inspired by a prompt my english teacher gave my class for a warmup question a few days ago. We were supposed to write about why we did what we love to do (sports, writing, chilin with friends, whatever) in no more than three sentences.....i thought I would do something similiar in hopes that it might spark some creativity on here....
...looks like all that chaz wins, unless conorn decides to logon... Last edited by summerhill; 10-29-2007 at 01:25 AM.. |

I will apologize should you truly be a good writer. As of now I have no reason to believe you are because you don't present yourself as a person who takes writing seriously, in a writing thread of all places. Use proper grammar, punctuation and style, always and to the best of your ability, to the point where it is practical. No exceptions to this rule exist, and using the shift key and that other key one over from your "enter" button is not hard. The first post of yours that I saw (the opening post to this thread) had a grammar mistake in the very first sentence. Things like that tend to leave a mark when you're trying to convince everyone that you're some enchanting Stephen King Jr.
