Nintendo Wifi Users (DQ9 in particular)
In case anyone's unaware, Nintendo is shutting down online support for all Wii and DS games on May 20th, so you only have a few weeks left to take care of any unfinished business you might have in certain online games.
I know there are people here who play Mario Kart Wii, so if you like racing online, this is your final few weeks to enjoy it as much as you can, at least until Mario Kart 8 comes out at the end of this month. I don't know if anyone but me on this site plays Dragon Quest 9, but this is your last last chance to get DQVC exclusive items that you WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO GET. And this week, they're specifically offering those exclusives, so buy them all up. This is probably my favourite game on DS, so I know I'll be spending a lot of the next few weeks committing Gold Golem genocide. I don't know if anyone still cares about The Last Story, but that's another game with online exclusive items you won't have another chance to get, although last time I checked, it was a ghost town.

3DS and Wii U will be fine.
The DSi eShop, Wii Virtual Console and so on will also remain up, so you're not losing any purchases or anything. (Whew.)

Re: Nintendo Wifi Users (DQ9 in particular)
Was really hoping that WiiU would make a huge comeback by selling their system with Mario Kart 8 & new super smash bros together in a bundle for like $400-$500 to bring itself back from extinction, I even mailed the CEO (Reggie Something Something) about the idea of that because they could market up the price of the WiiU if they release it in a bundle like that but he didn't get back to me until they made a release date for Mario Kart 8 way ahead of new super smash bros.
I've seen the trailers & info behind Mario Kart 8 and honestly I'm kind of disappointed with how many characters there are and how many characters they removed for some reason compared to the current super smash bros. brawl. Still a bit iffy on getting a WiiU with these new releases coming out & with their current situation in sales. Last edited by gold stinger; 05-3-2014 at 07:34 PM.. |
