New Ranking Idea

10-hour ranking-system marathon was productive. Added many new points to the system. Several have been taken off though. Most because they fit more than one category, but don't merit enough points to be in more than one category. Some I'm noticing that I definitely need to reconsider before putting them on here. They're definitely all on the easier end, which the less-experienced one-handers will be happy to hear. More difficult points to be added later. I have a list.

I've resulted in a set of points that look somewhat awkward. A LOT of these songs start at three points and go upwards. Over time we may find some sort of remedy for this. Until then we'll either live with it or brainstorm fixes for it.

One last note: Towards the end I've been rushing myself more, so this list is missing certain things like links to the song pages, genres, etc. There are also probably a few typos in song titles as well. Basically I need to go over this again sometime soon to bring it up to par with the rest of the list, but I don't have time at the moment. I still have average ranks to update...

Any of the songs on the list with no points/point requirements need to have points and their corresponding requirements tested out and added to the list.

Isn't that just the same thing as jumps? I think there was a song or two (Dream of Scarlet for one) that had patterns kind of like that. TGWP is bound to have part of at least one of those patterns, those jumps are all over the place. Then again, I may not be thinking on the same wavelength as you right now.

I agree the first and last pattern are hard to hit with good PA, but I generally don't have problems with the other two. I see what you mean now, I'm just not sure we need a separate class for it. We can just make the requirements give you more points for that, or lower the requirements.

I was just referring to how it's going to be regularly, not rarely, updated now, and I will most likely add users who ask and are under average rank 50 000. And the tests are... well, not really tests.

whoa i was given credits? lol i better do something then i guess.

TGWP4 i've only fc'ed the jump part once, i personally find those jumps more challenging than the jumpspurts in Dream of the Scarlet per say. i would say maybe 3 points for 2 or less jump misses because you can usually catch up after that, and then 4 points for fc.

love cheat is kinda hard to say, because the jumpspurts in it are faster than that of Dream of the Scarlet. i've only played half way through it once recently so i guess i'll have to play it again *when my parents are not sitting right beside me*...

maybe 2 points for an SDG of WOD?

edit, and maybe in the final version you can put the catagories the songs too.
