Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
Thank you for a great spon con! Though I really hope to never have to play that engine again, revisiting it once is bad enough...

The mouse changing to a pointer icon with the name of the secret song is what I'm looking for. Also since I'm an idiot, I'll send 5k to the first person who posts Afro's location through this print-screen method.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
This was a really fun and unique spon con. I definitely enjoyed playing on the engine (with a bit of screencut, hehu) even though I had basically zero PA ability.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
The ONE time I assume that the mouse will show in a print-screen (since it's worked for me all the time before) and it doesn't.
Wonderful. Sorry about that guys, I'll think of some way to make this more accurate lol. Testing your thing sayuncle. +5k for you! Print-screen has failed me as well. I'll just flat out give you the 45k, since this isn't your fault or anything.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
These are the first two. I'm trying to find the last one over again. Note: these won't show up in Dance. You MUST be in the correct directory. Edit: Last one is found. This one is also not in dance This one, instead, is in Hip Hop. You HAVE to switch to hip hop. Last edited by Xenorosth; 11-26-2012 at 01:03 AM.. |

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
I think I found every single secret song on the 2004 engine. There are some nobody mentioned yet. Here are some pictures of all the locations, with little red dots to denote the rough areas where you have to move your mouse. Note that the genre absolutely does matter.
I looked into the swf and found out that the Empty placeholder was level 27, and MaxUnlimited was level 43. I have been wondering about those two level numbers for literally years - they were completely gone from the site when I started looking around, which is saying something because even FF7, Chrono, FFR Special Mix, and Genesis One were still available. Does anyone have the original MaxUnlimited swf sitting around?

I love you for making the secret song images, by the way. That just made this a lot more streamlined! I'll upload the other secret levels I have soon. I guess I'll let people play them all day tomorrow or something, don't think I can host these forever unfortunately. ALSO: Sending the messages about the tokens now. Checking profiles to see if decisions are necessary from the two people who haven't told me what they wanted.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
Holy crap, Maxx Unlimited is the song I swore they would put in but I assumed they never did. I guess I was wrong. Even in later versions of FFR (where these songs were archived and hidden but still playable), this song didn't seem to be included anywhere.
I guess the rumor I heard ages ago was true. |

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
Is it archived anywhere? I know for a fact that P4U V1 was NOT in the disabled files list back in 2009 when I was around, and no one had it, but it was released as a token later on.
Maybe Synth or an older admin might have it. EDIT: THIS SPON CON I GAVE AWAY 555,000 CREDITS... There wasn't a single bonus over 10k (although people got multiple bonuses), just goes to show how letting things build up and participation can absolutely destroy your expectations.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
It may be that they planned to include that song but never got around to converting it - I'm not really sure.
edit: Scratch that, it works the same as the other secret songs. That means there's a definite possibility it really worked at some point.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
Gameboy42690, and iceefudgesickle, please tell me what event token or support token you wish to have unlocked!
I already know what MrPreggers wants unlocked, but you both have several tokens that you can choose from. Please let me know ASAP because I want to send this message really shortly (within an hour hopefully). EDIT 2: I'm sending the message without your request Gameboy. When you send me the request for which token you want unlocked, I'll send a separate message. I'm not making the other two winners wait in the event it takes much longer. EDIT: To anyone who didn't know where the secret levels were and want to play them, check out qqwref's images! I even added the secret ones I missed (luckily not TOO many people knew they were there throughout the contest, but if you want to check them out feel free!) I'll probably stop hosting them Tuesday morning or something, so get your fill in the meantime! No one has MaxX Unlimited though, sorry if you wanted to play that. FFR 10th, bringing old secret and disabled files to yooooooooouuuuuuu!

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
Copyright is probably why for the most part. Although I'm not 100% on that for every old secret file.

Re: FFR Spon Con: Let's go WAY BACK
Thanks for the 50000 credits Do you want some back, perchance? Though I don't know how to transfer credits.
Btw for anyone who struggled with arrow key setup, try what I did: left hand on left and down arrow keys, right hand on numpad 8 and 6 with numlock off. That's close enough to spread.
