FFR wikipedia page or HOF

This site has been around for a while lets say for arguments sake 50 years.

While my memory is powerful enough to run small websites I can't always remember everything that happens in the community. The people, the personalities, the achievements and milestones.

I also think I am in someway addicted to nostalgia. Considering I have been around for the last 5 years, I know there is a lot of nostalgia to be had.

I wanted someone to make a Hall Of Fame in 2007:

What may work better is a "every one contributes" Wikipedia style article.

The trick would be that everyone can post up edits and what they would like in the article which would be made (initially) in the top post.

Headings could include:
Notable players
Interesting posters
Old Records
Tournament winners
Evolution of the Game/Community
Staff admin/Mods over the years
Controversies (Haha, this should be reason enough alone to create it)
Historical Avatar Collection (I remember the images of ppls old avatars really vividly-awesome nostaliga.)

If you guys are up for it I will do my best to get the ball rolling and to co-ordinate it. If someone else is properly serious about doing and is MATURE enough to deal with people as well I am happy for them to take on the task after asking me.

Kind of stuff I'd like to see people post up to start the ball rolling. This can be expanded on. I really want to see things happen instead of dictatorship and stalling.

Or something like that. Additionally, the inductees do not need to be limited solely to the accomplishments of their prime era (providing they have more than one), and the descriptions may include things such as more recent doings.

For example, if I were to write an entry for myself (though I'm not necessarily implying that I'm entirely worthy of consideration), it would look similar to the following:

ieatyourlvllol - *insert random title*
---known by a number of veterans for the AAA races, the first of which pitted him against xjohnieboyx and eurostud4, and the second, Sprite- and XXXsmittyXXX
---second person to nab the elusive FF7 Battle AAA, and thus the even more elusive Synthlight AAA
---Pants score (lol)
---top placer in FFR PA Competition *insert link to thread*

The only problem with doing it Wikipedia style is that it would be hard to implement it on a forum. First of all, in these forums at least, I believe that only the original poster (and perhaps the mods and admins) could edit the first post. If you wanted to make a hall of fame where "anyone could edit it," then either (1) it would have to be in a very indirect way (like users requesting changes to the HOF), (2) or you could somehow modify the PHP script for the specific thread to allow users to directly edit it, or (3) have FFR get some type of Wiki. It's a great idea, but I just think it would be hard to implement it the way you would want to.
