At first, when toonami first advertised One Piece I was hooked on it. But it started getting stupid and I dropped off from watching every episode after they get Nami back. Then I found out it's another good anime that WB slaughtered upon entry to the U.S. and I dropped from watching it all together. I like the Japanesse version though and would watch it if I had a internet connection capable of downloading it.

Warner Brothers doesn't have a license to One Piece. 4kids did. They've since lost it.

FUNimation has the rights to One Piece now, and they've said they will keep it as true to the original version as they can.

4kids and W.B. are the same thing to me. Great news to hear they lost the rights though. Take that 4kids!

So I'm sure it's been asked before, and this may make me look gay or whatever for asking, but...

Does it have romance in it? Obviously it would be as a side plot, but well, I'm a huge fan of romance series and the only reason (aside from DBZ, which ironically enough, I watched as a dub and enjoyed quite thoroughly) I've watched a few of the really long series is because I wanted to see if so and so were really going to end up together.

Sadly, with a long series like this, and given my current taste in anime, romance must be present. So... is it?

Yeah, and while they have done a much better job on DBZ now compared to the past, it'll still be cut up and/or have things changed.

Afro's never seen One Piece. He couldn't answer that question.

There's no "Main Character A loves Main Character B" in One Piece. There are secondary characters with romance stories, but nothing with the main characters.

Closest thing you get is Sanji, who is a womanizer.

I know what you mean, though. I think the only reason I kept watching Inuyasha was to see if people hooked up. Of course, the ending disappointed me too much to even acknowledge that I watched the show.

Edit: Holy crap. Episode 325 was massively epic. That was just fantastic. To think half of it was completely made up separate from the manga, even.

Bump because I'm about to watch episodes 61-70 and I want to know if anyone else is following the series and is anyone around the same point as me?

Fast forward several years and one piece takes a dump on all anime ever existed. Nothing beats it, no argument.

I follow Squeeks example to the letter with people. No one watches it though.

What FFR_masterj said has much truth to it. (Though I'd say more so that the manga is the best. The anime is too slow and dragged out right now, though the first half of the currently released episodes are very good.)
