Re: Hardcore song
we would have to have permission from him, and then you would have to submit it once its made and hope it makes it into the queue to be submitted.
the only exceptions for things like this are people who have control over submissions, etc. and generally exceptions arent made...you'd have to get more information from a site moderator about this. It'd be pretty exclusive |

Re: Hardcore song
That would take some thoroughly advanced planning. The process of getting a song onto FFR is not complicated, but can be lengthy. What you need to do:
1) Send in the file when a batch is open to accept submissions. Because the batch is currently closed, you -cannot- send the file in now. (I'm already assuming your friend gives you permission to have his song featured on the site) 2) Once your submission is received, it will be reviewed by a number of judges to see if the chart is viable enough for the game. 3) If the file is accepted, it will be put into a queue of accepted files waiting to be added to the game. When your file is released varies, but the general rule is that older files waiting in the queue will be released sooner than newer ones. At this point though, I might consider putting the file up if your friend's birthday has yet to come. Even so, we don't usually do this, and I've received several requests in the past from simfile artists to have their own files released on their birthdays. It usually doesn't happen. The whole process would require a good 2-3 months on average. So if you're a long-term planner, by all means go ahead and give it a try! But you'll have to be pretty sure of what you're doing. Re: Hardcore song
Well there are a lot of simfile artists on this site (go to the song list page and check out the simfile artists; perhaps contact a few of them*).
If the issue about song permission is due to keeping it a surprise from your friend, just be aware that the file could be taken down on the occasion that he doesn't want it featured on this site. So you'd be taking a chance. Since the batch is closed, you might as well get the file created in the meanwhile. *I'm a simfile artist as well, but unfortunately I'm not accepting requests at the moment |
