A deposit for secret songs - pay the equivalent of the top secret song requirement and unlock all secret songs forever. This would protect you from yourself in the gambling hall, if you wished to use it, and overall just a quality of life update.

Also rates scoreboards and level ranks for 1.2x and 1.5X

I think rates would be too hard to implement but i do think if you aaa a song on a higher rate than 1 it should count, because....well i think you know why. Although a lower rate shouldnt record like it is now.

Then people wouldnt complain about playing lower level songs

I wish each songs would leave you a space to write a custom note.

e.g: AAA'd on X rate or where important isolations start.

It could even be integrated with the filter system by letting you find keywords you used in the notes.

The custom notes would be great if you need an unusual offset for a chart - then you don't have to fine tune it whenever you return to it

Option to show raw goods in PA count
e.g Getting 1 Good and 1 Miss is Raw Goods 3.4
Option to Autofail based on how many raw goods you get
e.g. Autofail when it stops being an SDG so autofail when you get 10 Raw Goods

can u add that error bar that etterna has that shows how far off your acc was on each note you hit as you play

edit: and if ur gonna add it pls make it somewhat customizable like resizable etc so that doesnt have to be added later as well xd

Thanks for your suggestion Paulia, unfortunately all bpm data is lost when we convert songs to swf, and it can't be easily inferred since it just stores note positions as frames.

On a less important, more philosophical note, what truly distinguishes 130 BPM from 260 BPM? I remember playing Dropout on DDR back in the day, and thinking it's really just 130 BPM.

The notation you basically only see in the colour-coding of the arrows of course.

Eighth notes at 130 and quarter notes at 260 are "the same" in every respect except how the arrows are coloured.

For the goal served by "rank by BPM", it's better implemented as "rank by NPS"

The issue is there's no library for actionscript 2 (flash 9) that lets you speed up mp3, that's the only reason rates don't work I believe

I would be ok with just playing with no audio if it meant rates worked, like have some fp check and if it's 9, just skip the mp3

List of things I want to see before I die:

Most wanted:
  • n-player multiplayer
  • Singleplayer spectate
  • improved mod tools for mp (clear chat in particular) - currently if someone decides they want to come in and post 40 n-bombs there's nothing we can do to remove said 40 n-bombs.
  • in-game tutorial
  • way to update and view your top 100 scores in-game (replace Stats tab with this pl0x)
  • tooltips for commonly used options explaining what they do (offsets mainly)
  • Daily leaderboard reconciliation for all players who recorded a score that day as a server task

Would also be super nice to have:
  • way to view SAVED replays in-game instead of songs played this session
  • Include FFRmania as a default engine playlist since it's popular AF
  • streamer tools to extract metadata from the currently playing song (NPS, KPS, Song Title, etc etc etc loaded dynamically when playing a song)
  • Friends leaderboard (suggested by Antori)
  • Add friends in-game
  • More friends stuff in general
  • A way to signify that your current MP opponent does not have a song unlocked via a symbol in the song list (this is probably hard to implement, but would still be epic cool)
