Billion Points in a Day Massive Attempt

Hello everyone

SkRAWRk, The_Toymaker, I like it, and I awein999 are going to attempt for 1 billion points. It is a Saturday and everyone else is encouraged to try with us. And if not try, your support would be highly appreciated and makes the task that much more doable. We are currently planning on making our own personal tiny chat room a day or two before the event and I'll post the link in here then. And we are open minded to skype if that would work well or some other type of location.

I've already gotten a billion in a day before, therefore I am not satisfied with only a billion this time. I will be going for 2 billion using vROFL.

Recommended songs if you don't have vROFL:
-RATO (If you can keep it up but probably not)
-LoLo
-Mutant corecore
-Other Various FGO's that I need to look up
-Maybe a couple new songs have been added recently that would be good
-System Failure
-Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star
-Yoshi's Cookie (Just barely keeps you on pace for when you need to rest)

Personal strategy tips for 24 hour bill:
Obviously you need to auto fail 1 miss because you need to combo everything you play. PA doesn't really matter. PA'ing is generally not worth the energy it takes to hit the notes accurately mentally and physically. For me taking planned breaks for a few minutes up to 5 minutes on the top of every hour was a good idea. That way I could play one hour to achieve break time, rather than looking at it as a daunting task of having to play all day. Provide yourself with plenty to drink and eat around you. Sleep a lot the days before. Plan out what you will play and how you play it. You could have two ffr playing screens open at once so you don't have to wait for your score to record. You can just switch from one to the other.

As the goal is to get a billion in 24 hours the task is less a sprint and more a marathon. You don't want to tire yourself out in an hour. Or 2 hours. Or 4 hours. Or even 12 hours. You still have 12 more hours to go after 12 hours. Lets put this into perspective. You need to smash keys for a very long time and after a while you will get VERY tired. Keeping up mashing RATO is probably unrealistic. And even most FGO's will make you wear down much too early unless you are dossar. Even if you constantly play EHHS the entire time you can still get 1.42 billion. Counting some breaks. So no need to rush the billion. Just keep yourself going and go into it with a gameplan.

- Buy excessive amounts of Dr. Pepper.
- Get contacts/new glasses sorted.
- Learn to PA FFR again.
- Get [ONI]. (o:

I tried to do this yesterday, just because I could and I haven't been given any assignments yet.

I had to quit after 4 hours because there were server issues and my score was taking 20 seconds to record each time (50 mil an hour was not something I wanted to put up with all day).

Depending on what work gets piled on me (or not) over the next 2 weeks I might join you guys

The best 2 tips I can give from my experience is DON'T have caffeine and DO use gel wrist pads if you have or can afford them. I shouldn't have to explain the caffeine one (light snacks are a better substitute anyway) and the wrist pads make everything more comfortable and effortless. Hitting my keyboard 8 times a second with a squishy, bouncy pad beneath my wrists was 5 times easier.

Pro tip from a professional all-nighter: everyone says to get good sleep the night before, but that's only part of it. Get good sleep the night before that too! The two nights of sleep before your current day are really what determines your sleep cycle/energy level, not just the single previous night. Getting good sleep before that too can't hurt either.

And yep, I hardly sleep, so I know I'll be stocking up on sleep for this one. xD

I may join you guys in attempting 1 billion. It's really going to depend on school/sleep for me though as I'm finally able to start playing past 9 pm again... It will also depend on if I can figure out a way to go without interruptions and figure out a way to concentrate for that long.

Done and done. The list of songs to use needs a lot more. I'll think of more myself later/any recommendation is helpful.
