Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament
^Oy vey. I was about to cry because if a D1 player can wristjack-mash an FC on M8BT and I can't, I need to masturbate more.

Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament
Perhaps there's some light after all: had a run today with the AAA a bit past 1100 before my hands gave out...
for now, though... can't do well without trying. I have a semi-working method to get past the burst at 270, but the rest of the patterns got kinda stale for me. I have a feeling if I play it tonight (it's past midnight hurhurhuerhurh) and practice that single method, I could have a few shots at the AAA run. We'll see, though... Do you have a nasty tiebreaker waiting for D7? It might be needed

It means there are weekly contests and those are the prizes they reserved for them.

Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament
Technically, yes - however, it would be somewhat trivial given the difficulty of the final round; everyone who is tied can just face the final file and rank off of there. If for any reason there is a tie for any position at this round's end, it'll be broken.

Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament
I've put 5 hours into Goblin.
Think it's time to accept that, once again, I'm going out in 4th-5th. Sorta makes the whole time investment really not worth it from a cost-benefit point of view. I should stop playing this game huh

Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament
8 weeks for 80 dollars or less is a horrible time investment any way you put it. If you want to factor it by the hour, then I guess totalling your play time to less than
10 hours (extremely unlikely) would make it worth it by a jobs point of view but nobody breaks up 10 hours of work into 8 weeks.

Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament
Well I mean more in a sense that I derive utility from it being fun to play the game and that is typically what makes it worth it.
But by now, playing FFR has long ceased to be fun, so it's literally only for the money at this point, which as you pointed out is not worth it at all. See I pointed this out in Skype, my problem was caring about the tournament too much early on. I needed to coast through the first few rounds before starting to try, that way I'd actually be motivated now. People joke, but the way to win FFR tournaments really is to sandbag as long as you can. I see that now, but unfortunately now I'm D6 so I've blown my chance. (I don't think I'll ever care enough about Stepman to be able to sandbag D6 but who knows, maybe I'll have one more shot someday :P)
