Pressing Buttons and Turning Knobs
Hey everyone!
I've got a question regarding a track I produced months ago. I was wondering if anyone would like to step it? Or at the least, if anyone would be able to give me input on whether or not you think my production value would be good enough for FFR? I created this track months ago without FFR in mind. Genre: Electro House Length: 4:02 BPM: 128 (I believe.) Difficulty: I could see it being a 20-30 difficulty. (As I said, I didn't create this track with FFR in mind. I created it to dance to, so it's not very fast / challenging.) That said, here's the link: http://soundcloud.com/gerald-wiseman...-and-turning-1 I look forward to feedback. If you like the production, but would be interested in something more challenging to play to, I could definitely whip up some tracks with a faster BPM / 16th notes, 32nd notes, variety, etc. Let me know what you guys think, please! |

Re: Pressing Buttons and Turning Knobs
Haven't listened yet, will later when I'm not about to leave my house. But I would venture to say that a slower dance song probably wouldn't have enough variation and play value to step all 4 minutes of it. If you look through the Dance genre, there aren't very many songs over 3 minutes and those that are (in my opinion) for the most part really drag on. Would you be willing to do a cut version for FFR? (again, haven't listened, but will when I get home and I'll give more input on the song itself)

Re: Pressing Buttons and Turning Knobs
Maybe a tad bit too repetitive for stepping imo, the song itself is pretty nice and catchy but I think some sounds are not so clean (now I know that might be cuz of Soundcloud but if not, maybe you could fix that [especially from 0:15 to 0:45 and 3:30 to the end.] ), I really like the part at 2:15 though. I'd definately like to see what you can create for a more challenging stepfile. ;3

Re: Pressing Buttons and Turning Knobs
Oh yeah I could definitely cut it. Like I said, if I were to have produced it for FFR exclusively, it'd be 1:50-2:50 long with a faster BPM and what not.
But I think even if you were to listen to it and realize that it wouldn't suit FFR very well, but you still like the production value, you could definitely let me know and I could create a completely different track. I have a track on my SoundCloud titled "FunkTastic" for a lack of a better title, but it's just a 45 second sample of me working with glitch tracks. If you give that a listen, that to me sounds much more suitable for a more difficult FFR track. Appreciate the reply though! Edit: Quote:
If people would like to see a more difficult stepfile, I'd be happy to deliver. Last edited by SoggyWaffulz; 10-3-2012 at 03:45 PM.. |

But I've got tons of stuff uploaded to that soundcloud that isn't available to the public. I just use it as a dumping location for all of my tests / ideas and whatnot. Anything on there I could easily replicate, I know exactly how I did that glitch track and I could do it again. |

Re: Pressing Buttons and Turning Knobs
Also, just adding this in as a post thought:
http://snd.sc/WlxXYX That's another demo track that wasn't ever finished. Still electro house music, but it's more aggressive and a lot faster than my other track. Thoughts on this style? I personally like this style the most, but that's obviously just me. |
