Make me better at this game :(
Herro. I've just recently come back to the damn keyboard games once again, and I need to get better. I began keyboard DDR sims 3 years ago and I keep quitting because I never seem to get better. A reason I believe this happens is because I am a one hander, but there is no way I'm playing two handed (I just can't :\). Anyone have any tips that could help me ;_;.

After I started playing DDR, I found that index style instantly clicked in my mind. Try it some time if you can. Otherwise, all you can do is practice.

Yep, I've been playing ddr for a few years as well. I can play most songs on heavy, with the exceptions of Max 300 and LoM etc. I've played stepmania as well but I just don't seem to ever AAA anything.

I'm a one hander, and came to this site without the experience of DDR. 4.5k games later I'm only at the stage of Very Difficult/masters only. So, yeah, just keep practicing.

Re: Make me better at this game :(
Hey Ed! was your post directed to me?
well, even if it wasnt, i dont mind helping in the slightest! =) my recomendation is to simply practice. of course, you must learn your own style that fits you the best! for instance, i play totally freestyle! i am not like most people, who use nothing but their feet! I use my entire body to keep rhythm and beat! do anything to get bigger leg muscles! i would simply play for prolonged periods of time! but if you have a tight schedule, try jumproping or sprinting... leg streches also help before and after playing... follow my instructions, and DDR will become simple! Pump it up is the same way! BUT I AM NOT THE PUMP IT UP Heero... I AM THE DDR HEERO!!!! I AM ONLY So-So at Pump It Up. IF you have trouble with FFR, i cannot help you. I SUCK AT FFR. I am a totally active person! and beleive me- FFR IS NOT EVEN COMPARABLE TO DDR !!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK GETTING BETTER!!!!!

Re: Make me better at this game :(
I believe he was asking for advice on how to improve his FFR Skills, not his DDR skills.
Well, the best advice would be to learn a 2 handed playing style and practice it. This will get you into your best possible game shape. If you want to stay a 1 hander, it's going to take more practice. I've played 1 handed casually over the last year and a half and I can easily pass every song on FFR, and play pretty decent on SM. It's possible, just practice and raise your standards. |

Re: Make me better at this game :(
I am still horrible at the game, I think mainly because I don't play much. Also, when I play a level and lots of arrows start to fly by I sorta panic and randomly mash buttons, habit of mine.
