Default FFR players and DDR players

So how many people here have turned their FFR skills into DDR skills? I've been playing DDR for 8 years now, which is longer than FFR, but the timing skills from DDR helped me with FFR, and then reading skills from FFR helped me get better at DDR. Though I still am not as good as I want to be (I want to be able to get a AA on Pluto Relinquish Challenge, but that's a long way away) I was able to SDG Max 300 with 7 greats, video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETLppSbz5cM

but still, how many here are good at DDR AND FFR and what has one/other helped with the other?

PS

This is daman in the video, who is me, stavie can AAA Max 300 easily, he's my hero

EDIT: These songs are really easy IMO, I just made them sound harder than they are to trick my teacher because I used this as my online PE final for the year (show mastery and proficiency at a sport that gives you a cardio work out)

I played DDR with a controller for like 2 years before I started FFR, and it allowed me to master spread immediately. Ive never played 1 handed.
I didnt play DDR for like 3 months while i played FFr, and when i tried it again, i couldnt play until i cranked up the speed.
I also started playing heavy and stuff with the actual pad and im doing pretty good i think.

FFR hasn't helped at all. SM has improved my FA (I play ITG) significantly though. Play SM if you want to get better on pad timing-wise.

FFR helped me get a lot better on DDR while I was still learning the game. FFR gave me much better reading skills which allowed me to focus on my DDR technique since I could actually tell what was going on. I'm still not that good at DDR but I'm good enough to make my friends go wtf so whatever

I automatically was able to do higher difficulties on DDR because of FFR the first time I played it because of my reading abilities and comprehension of the game. By no means did I start out as a pro (not even close still), but I didn't start out pathetic, either.

Hmm DDR 9 years. Hasnt helped much for FFR and likewise well.... I play with my fingers for ffr and i dont think fingers would help much for a pad... -.-

But aside that. I can read better and my MA has helped me do pretty good at FFR

I've played DDR for, 7 years. I went to an arcade everyday over the summer for 3 years and every wednesday and saturday during school. I took up FFR a little over 2 years ago, i could pass most songs, but speed mods didn't exist so it was difficult for me to read the clumps of notes. Each has aided in my ability, but im not good at either, because score on DDR i would say is my AA on So Deep, lucky run though, normally can't FC it.

I was playing heavy on DDR before I even started playing FFR seriously--and then by the time I hit ITG, FFR just didn't help it. xD

Also, Stavie--learn to do fast crosses and you'll get that AA on Pluto Relinquish, it is indeed, by many standards, a whore to get. :[

for me So Deep is a joke, I've AAA'd it, but it's still a 9 so congrats

btw, what's your guys' best DDR score? Mine is probably either a AA on Saber Wing Headshot on challenge, or my AA on Fascination MAXX Challenge, those are insane, I still can't even pass Fasc. Love though, those jumping chains are impossible for me...

My experience exactly. And I'm still terribad at DDR/ITG. The best I ever did was a B on Paranoia Survivor Max on heavy lol. I think it was my first pass. /outofshape

That's still a pretty okay score, I mean Paranoia Survivor Max is a really hard song, but on heavy it's not THAT bad, I have a AA on Heavy, but I still only have an A on challenge, the charts so gay...FFR helped me understand how to handle it though believe it or not, it's got too many damn full turns

It's not as much as an inability to read it as an inability for my legs to not give out.

I started off playing DDR on feet for about a few months then I got lazy and started to play it on the controller for about a year. Then one day, I randomly went on youtube to look at other people play DDR and next day you know, I saw Arch0wl's Quesar 1.5x index AAA and i was like "impossible". So then, i went on google and type in "Free DDR Computer Games" and thats when i found FFR and i've been playing it ever since. So yeah, DDR has helped me with FFR in a way.

The reason I can rarely pass Fasc Maxx despite few misses is my legs will stop moving, stamina does kill me, but not on Paranoia Survivor Max, Paronoia Hades, however, is a whole nother' ball game. Fasc Love I will never do no matter what, and Trigger, Pluto Relinquish, and Dead End Groove Radar are like impossible for me, so that's where I draw the line. ITG is sooo much harder than DDR, I can't do anything above 11 difficulty in ITG
