well, not sure what sparked this kind of responding without actually contributing to the discussion. They were able to fix my problem 2 days ago, and I'm glad they were able to do just that, but it irks me that it took the problem 3 days to fix where it would normally take 12 hours if they read my messages.
Was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with Skype support like this. If you haven't, then that's great. Must be swell to only have to deal with that one problem where it doesn't always send messages in a group unless one other person posts in it alongside you. |

They probably get thousands of emails a day so they might not have the luxury of reading everything (not to mention that mistakes happen). And stating something like "If your company takes more than even 8 hours to get back to a customer service response, complaint form, or a request, then you're doing it wrong." is really, really entitled.

No doubt at them receiving emails in the tens of thousands per day.
My point on saying "8 hours" specifically is in reference to shift work, and how it could be handled differently instead of putting someone's response back into queue on the bottom, and let it work its way back to the top of the queue, making you wait the full amount of time to talk to support again. It feels like the entire process would be faster if they had an open tab for when they receive replies to a certain e-mail address, and then by the time they start reaching the end of their shift, cut down on how many people you're replying to and finish up what people have gotten back to you, and hand the reigns over to the next person. Dealing with the issue the way it currently is allows it so that all the problems get solved at the same time (or at least responded to within the same amount of time). I'm willing to bet that a good majority don't even wait for support to get back to them. They either make a new account, or scour the internet for a resolution to their problem. Sorry if it comes off as entitled. A lot of people share the same viewpoint. The program itself is quite decent, and has its small problems here and there, but the support team can be a real headache to deal with. As soon as someone gets a problem that can't be directly fixed themselves, they have to spend 3-4 days playing pass the buck with support to get a chance at having it fixed.
