Video Editting Software
where can i get a good, free, downloadable program to edit video? and i mean, REALLY edit it. i wanna not only be able to arrange the clips, but make stuff go in slow motion, overlay things so it looks like planes are bombing my house, and perhaps make my own star wars kid edit. and it would also be preferable if all this stuff was easy to do.
so yeah, if anybody knows of a good piece of FREE software that can do all that, please tell me. (and seriously guys, no "Search download.com for it" responses. i wanna know opinions on different things and what you guys think is the best option rather than downloading all these programs and finding that they suck)

Yeah, windows movie maker has a lot of features like that. The only problem is that the videos tend to have lower qualities then other programs. But hey, it's free.

there's gotta be some free thing i can get to make it look like i'm shooting fireballs...or something really cheap i can get from best buy that can do it. i mean, i cant get one of those 1000 dollar programs that movie makers use, but i can get something less than 100 dollars. i just need good editing software so i can make silly movie of me blowing things up.

I work with these programs for a living and think you need to consider the skill and time and quality of the programs involved.
Your best bet would be to go with a trial of adobe premiere or even adobe after effects and then after you have learned the basics, find a program that has the toolset that you need based on what you used in the trials to make your video. Cheers, Synthlight |

I have used Adobe Premiere and it is a fairly decent program....when it doesnt crash, but that might just be my computer.
But good luck finding anything for free that does what you demand. |
