Life is Unexpectedly Short
I'll make it short...
My cousin has died in his sleep last night... So, I'll not be returning. Happy Mashing and good luck to you all. -Maze EDIT: I had many long talks about the tragedy that has occurred. I do realize that when I said I wouldn't be back was much too extreme; why give up something I love and enjoy when someone I lose is gone? I won't be leaving the community as I said, that would be a mistake on my part. Also, thank you, to all of you who understand how hard this is for me. And to all the ones who were just plain asshats, you can go shove it. That is all. Last edited by ExacerbatE; 06-24-2014 at 04:21 PM.. |

Re: Life is Unexpectedly Short
I did not expect to see a post saying someone died when I clicked, oh my goodness.
My condolences.

Re: Life is Unexpectedly Short
I would think the motivation is to let people know. Though, we can never know the true intention of someone. That I can agree with you.
Might as well be nice about it however and give your condolences anyways. That simple. Don't think a "bye" is a very respectable way to treat an announcement of someone's death. Might just not say anything at that point, y'know? EDIT: This post looks so silly now since all the others are deleted, dohoho. Context was that someone said "k bye" in a post and then a little spiel about motivation.

Re: Life is Unexpectedly Short
I knew the community was full of assholes forum-side but even this is unexpected.
I lost my grandmother June 1st. Wasn't as close to her as you may have been to your cousin, but it's always tough. Let him live on in good memory. My condolences. -o24

Re: Life is Unexpectedly Short
I have a cousin who died too. He had like top tier computer science skills, graduated, bachelor, was in a band, had a girlfriend etc. etc. Everyone was proud of him except that one day cancer just happened. It's a little more difficult to get over because this guy pretty much nailed everything I studied for and tried to become. It kinds of hurt me more than I expected.
So, yeah.. have to learn to look at what's left and be happy with it. Sorry for your loss too. Last edited by Hakulyte; 06-24-2014 at 10:02 AM.. |

Re: Life is Unexpectedly Short
Don't bother posting if you can't realize what you do is essentially mocking the death of a loved one. Whatever the motivation.

Thank you for sharing something so personal; I hope you live your life for yourself without dwelling on his death in the future.

My cousin also passed away two days ago very unexpectedly (car crash). I'm sorry, my thoughts are with you.
