Agh. I can't believe it's already over.

It went by so fast this year that I was really hoping I got to see everyone more.

But with all the time we had, I really am glad I got to at least say hi to everyone. I missed you guys so much and you guys make our small time together more and more amazing and special to me with every passing year. You guys are the reason that I look forward to this weekend every single year.

May 24-26 is the confirmed dates for next year's Anime North. If you guys would like to make the thread, go right ahead. Otherwise I will make the thread a little later.

what I'm finding increasingly difficult to do is spend enough time with the people I want. 3 days is just not nearly enough.

Well, now we have the entire year to figure out how to make the best out of AN 2019. xd

Until then..

I thought about doing a shoutouts to everyone, but I feel like I'd rather keep it simple and stick to discord etc. for these.

I'll just mention that I had a good time with everyone I've met this year and it was a fun experience overall.

There were some great moments this time around:
- Goldstinger Mario Kart rage. There was one race that wasn't recorded, but he got blueshelled right before the finish line and then he slammed his controller in rage, putting the system to sleep.
- Kommisar and his live chiptune, including Jackhammer Madness 3 live
- Terrible DDR edits in the Rhythm Gaming Room. It's been a long time since I had a blast with a spread session like that
- Met some others for the first time (Hi Max, Terry, rounbox, FFR Pro 21, etc!)
- Night of jackbox.tv games, with smartdude1212 coming up with several more anagrams of Dossar: DORASS, ASSDOR, and SOD ARS(e)
- Group photo memes. Hey guys, the group photo is at 12:30 pm at the Sheraton! Hey guys, can we do it at 5 PM? What time zone? Is it at Tuckers? Expect delays!1!!11111one

I'll probably post some pics/vids after coming back from CN tower with Ally and Lily.

I just wanted to say that while I didn't want to admit it, I was going through a lot of stress/depression a week before AN and some of you guys really made me feel a whole lot better, from just the chance to meet and small-talk with new faces to the memorable tear-dropping laughter that I had from some new memes this year haha. I am glad that I at least got myself more involved like with the trivia games and playing Mario Kart and the sketch/guessing game with Team Quebec.

I am sorry I am not much of a big talker and I missed the chance to drink and socialize more at the rave and stuff which I'll admit made me sad but I still had lots of fun overall! I am happy to be a part of this event especially after a big hiatus from the community and game. Even without proper introduction and stuff I was happy to see all of you and I am always up to chat at any time. I must stop the post here before I start crying <3 <3 <3 <3

It's the conventions like these that make me realize that people with wise-looking avatars, with lots of scary game developer & manager roles aren't grumpy 40 year old assholes but young adult memesters just like me
