Buying Credits
I just thought of an idea to benefit both credit whores and FFR. If there was any ways to set up the option of actually buying credits with real life money, that may help out both credit whores and FFR as a whole. Obviously it would be plain unfair to make 1 credit = 1 dollar, so instead, what if you set up something like this:
1 dollar = 100 credits 5 dollars =1,000 credits 10 dollars = 2,000 credits 20 dollars = 5,000 credits 50 dollars = 20,000 credits 100 dollars = 50,000 credits This is just an idea of a way to convert credits to money, but I'm sure if this was to be considered, there'd be a more accurate conversion. Any supporters? |

Re: Buying Credits
Uh, I really don't know, u84. This hasn't really gotten a lot of support, and I myself don't like the idea too much. Besides, hasn't the point of many of the new features involving credits (gambling, new purchased songs) was to increase the value of credits? Plus, I don't find it very fair.

Re: Buying Credits
i like the idea, but i agree with Sprite- as well. You can get 50k with buying a 3-month subby($10.50) at the Official Items for Credits thread. You set prices too expensive, but we get the idea

Re: Buying Credits
It's not consistent, you can't give discounts if the amount of credits get's higher. In other words, the ratio of credits to dollars has to stay the same.

Re: Buying Credits
I merely put those conversions as an example. I think that if you are willing to spend that actual money for money in a game, you deserve it. I mean, it's a lot like the Official Credits for Items Shop in that it's reversed. Instead of giving credits for real life things, you can give real like money for credits. In fact, you could even make it a purchasable item in a shop: "100,000 credits for X dollars." I know it may look like I'm pushing this, although I myself have no money to do this, but it's no less fair then me not having money to buy a shirt, subbie, etc. We win shirts subbies and credits in contests and we also sell all of those but credits in the store, so why not add them?
Besides, credits aren't even as bad as shirts because they don't have real value, so if someone's willing to pay money for them, it's basically just a +money for you without having to put some of it towards making the shirt, sticker, etc. You also have to consider how many of these credit whores will just gamble it all away, giving back some of the credits, too. I don't want to get too annoying with this. I'm just posing an argument for the other side. |

Re: Buying Credits
well being that people sell subbies that cost 10.50 for 50,000 credits, Wouldnt a fair deal be $1 per 5000 credits? I think then people would buy credits. Especially the dirty people

Re: Buying Credits
well you can for subscriber status in that other thread. I think that's a fine way to deal with buying and selling credits. I mean, if you really want more credits, open a shop in there or something (or however that works, I didn't read it thoroughly).

Re: Buying Credits
I really don't see a problem with this, Tass. Many games have a system of buying "coins" to use in the game. Most of the games only allow coins to be attained by buying. At least here, you can get credits for free.

Re: Buying Credits
I literally meant sell my own credits for money. I've got a couple hundred thousand credits, and I wouldn't mind making a quick buck.
