Default Excite Bite "For Beginners" (Diff: 2)

I AM a Beginner, I know that, and I'm proud of it :P
So I'm playing mostly Difficulty 1 to 4 at the moment.
Doing that I tried to play "Excite Bike" (Arcade, Page 1, Row 1, Entry 3) which is labeled Diff 2. Sorry guys, that cannot be Diff 2, can it? I just played a Diff 4 easier than that.

Can you fix it to a higher Difficulty (like Difficulty 5), or is it just the 10 arrows at the beginning, that are killing?

It's rated 2 because it's only 9 seconds long.

Like Silver_Brian said, it's only nine seconds long and it contains 32 notes. That song is usually everyone's first AAA. That's why it's rated so low.

It seems tricky but once you get the hang of it you'll start going for the AAA. Play it a bit more, it's a very "long" song.

to confirm.... yes. if the song was 90 seconds long and similar difficulty throughout, it would be around a 6, maybe even a low 7. but because it's 9 seconds long and only 32 notes, it gets a big ole 2.

it may actually help you improve a lot faster, as you'll get the hang of faster stuff with minimal worry of failing.

Am I playing like the wrong FFR? I see no grades, when I clear a song.

I've seen grades in FFR2, but that's not the one "Excite Bike" is in

By the way: I cannot stand the music of Excite Bike, so it is good to be only 9 seconds

I'll never be able to AAA Excite Bike. There's just something about it.

I can FC diff 8+ songs but I'll always get a 31-1-0 on Excite Bike. Bwahaha.

There are no grades in FFR R1... but when you get all perfects on a song, it still is referred to as a AAA.

FC= Full Combo. That means you went through an entire song without missing a single arrow.
And might as well just help a little more

SDG= Single Digit Good. When you fc a song and have less than 10 goods anf the rest perfects

BF= Black Flag. Same as an sdg but with only one good (thanks breakdown.. i really gotta stay up to date on stuff lol)

AAA= Highest possible score on a song. ALWAYS all perfects. (thanks fido =P)

FMO/FGO= For Master/Guru's Only. 2 hardest song difficulties.
Thats all i can think of atm but feel free to PM me if you have any more questions

Actually that was recently fixed (Av-Misses Fix) so now a AAA is ALWAYS all perfects in a song.

A blackflag actually is getting exactly one good and the rest perfects. For AAAs, with the new bug fix, the maximum attainable score for any song is all perfects.

Edit: Wow, I've been ninja'd in two consecutive posts now.

I'm pretty sure 2 goods is still consider an SDG, and a BF is only one good.

Anyways yeah, like everyone said it's a short song, etc.

Since no one has gotten everything into one post:
AAA- All perfects, nothing else
Booflag- All perfects, 1 boo
avflag or orangeflag(?)- All perfects, 1 average
blackflag- All perfects, 1 good
SDG- All perfects, less than 10 goods
FC- no misses
missflag- all perfects, one miss

This isn't actually many people's first AAA. Like Tass said, since the difficulty of the notes is around a 6, people that normally do other 2s won't be able to AAA. Something like Free Space is more likely. However, if you can do stuff around a 6 difficulty, then 32 notes in 9 seconds isn't hard to AAA.
