I, personally, welcome this experiment. As has been stated, if anything does go wrong and we do die, our deaths will be quick and painless. There won't be chaos, just.. nothing. And, as has also been stated, the chances of this happening are.. slim, to say the least. Besides, the discoveries to be made if this works!! Oh, what a great day in science that would be.

To all of you who say their are some things humans shouldn't know, consider this: What if these discoveries led to life on another planet, or a recreation of another planet, or even an entire galaxy! Of course, these are all extreme examples, but even something as simple as growing a mushroom in space would be a plus for us at this point.

The black hole created would be the size of an atom and only live for a millisecond, nothing is going to happen that could end the world...

and even if it did, I think it's pretty cool that humans have come far enough to destroy planets XD
