Bestestest mobile phone
Phone broke, need to replace it.
- For use in Australia - No price limit, as long as its not diamond studded junk et al - If touch screen, good touch sensitivity - Not overly excited about playing games/apps - Hot Previous phones (no need to relate to these phones at all) - Sony Ericsson w800i - Sony Ericsson k850i *I'm not much in favour of sony ericsson anymore, however I heard good things about xperia... convince me* Would be fantastic if you guys could specify the pros/cons of the phone/s you list. If you mention any of the iPhone series, it will be very helpful to know how it compares with other top-quality phones (not that its top-quality, but anyway...) Thanks, Subin Ps: Please let me know if you have had hands-on experience, because that can be taken as a more reliable source.

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
The sony ericsson xperia is ok. I personally don't like the feel of the phone and the touch response wasn't all that good compared to what's out on the market right now.
Who's your service provider? Can't suggest anything without knowing this first

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
I'd probably get a google droid myself. Any phone running android can ruin android apps. Nobody controls what apps you can get unlike the iPhone where Apple only lets people make programs using their toolkits and they pick and choose which apps you can get. iPhone's a great choice too but it has restrictions which really piss me off found in any Apple product. Blackberry's are really for corporate/business use, and isn't really aimed at being a phone for anybody else. I don't get blackberry fanboys my age at all.
But yeah get any phone running android IMO. iPhone's good too though. |

Get an Android
I personally use an unlocked Nexus One on the T-Mobile network, but my girlfriend has an Incredible under Verizon -- great phones |

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
I have a HTC Desire run my Android, the touch is brilliant, perfect size screen too. The Android market I think is really good too, ok, nothing like iPhone, but still some cool free **** to download
Con - The actual battery charger ****s up and doesn't charge your phone, I'm not the only person with this problem, but it's to do with HTC not Android/Google |

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
Also I'd like to add that you can get programs for Android, not on the android market as anybody is free to make what they want for the phone. I'm not sure if this is on the market but an example of that would be Frostwire. If you look in the link there's an Android download option.
Also don't even consider a Window's phone. They came out in the summer originally and within a week they were getting infected with viruses. McAffee is making an Anti-Virus for it I believe. Android runs on top of Linux which is pretty rock solid. iPhone probably runs on Linux now since that's the direction OS X went. EDIT: http://download.cnet.com/Kaspersky-A...-10640244.html Just don't buy things from Microsoft if you can help it lol. Quote:

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
If keyboards mean anything to you then don't get the droid or droid2. Both phones as awesome as they are as far as specs go they're keyboards are horrible. Like everyone has said though android powered phones are your best bet next to the iphone which I'm completely against getting thanks to apple and they're retarded asses for not going with adobe and getting flash.
Top android phones list for me goes as follows(in no particular order) Droid X The Galaxy S phones G2 Mytouch 4G Evo Nexus one Mytouch slide(I own this phone and love it despite some things that personally bug me but aren't part of the deciding factor for most anyone else) Quick note on the Galaxy phones. They're all pretty much the same and they're all great but the one that I like the most is probably the samsung epic because of the keyboard which has a nice feel to it though I'm not too fond of where some of the buttons are located. All phones comes swype preinstalled which is a godsend and something that every phone ever should have.

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
The OP doesn't even state whether or not he's on a CDMA or GSM network, so referring him to phones such as the Droid, EVO, Incredible, etc. are pointless as they do not have a SIM card slot to use. (Assuming AUS uses GSM).

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
I am going to vote for the droid. I have a blackberry and I hate it. It doesn't have particularly good reception and the internet sucks. I don't really use it for anything else but phone calls, texts, and internet...2/3 things it fails at. Now, my girlfriend has a droid and I am completely jealous of it. She gets on the internet 10 times faster with it, can do a million different things including using a GPS system when the one in my car is on the fritz, and generally just looks and feels cooler.

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
i had an htc/google g1, that was a really good phone, didnt do so much that i wouldnt use most of the functions but it by no means did too little, it was comfortable for me and i loved the flip out keyboard, only problem was when i put a screen protector on that was a lil thicker the touch sensitivity took a good hit, now i have an htc droid incredible and its another great phone, only thing im not a huge fan of is that its got more home screens than i use, i only need 3 and its got 7 but thats not really an issue

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
Get a Droid, people only use blackberries because of the MSN.
But, I don't care about phones. Y'know what I have? A custom made phone, hell yeah. By the Chinese people in the Chinese store, got it for a 100$ 8] |

@ Destiny: You're better off getting the HTC Nexus One. Best GSM phone there is out there. |

Re: Bestestest mobile phone
if your lookin for a phone thatll last thru anything any of the old nextel phones will do the job, iv seen them thrown out on a highway, used as hackey sacks, used as hockey pucks, any abuse you can imagine and they always survive

Non-Texter: Droid X
Texter: Droid 2 Really, Droid 2 / X, they both rock. They are also aesthetically pleasant to the eye, and slick. |
