ITT: Post the best concert you've ever been to

Last night I saw System of a Down and it was amazing. They played quite a few songs off each album. They opened with Prison Song and the Encore was Sugar. And despite the fact that it was in the pouring rain, it was still the best concert I've ever seen.

I think the best show I've been to was Above & Beyond's show during A State Of Trance 500, but Gorillaz in the Heineken Music Halls and The DJ Producer at Defqon.1 come close (even though I only saw the later half of the DJ Producer performing )

Above and Beyond when they came here to NYC -- without question.

I want to check out the Ultra Music Festival next year but fear it'd be way too crowded to be fun, but who knows

I don't think it'll be a problem Marcus. ASOT500 had 35.000 visitors I think (max is 40.000 for the brabanthallen), crowded as hell but so much fun nonetheless. The crowd is all in a good mood for the most part so it's hard not to enjoy it.

idk how many visitors ultra music festival gets but I figure the location will suit the amount of people that come.

yeah if the crowd is good it doesnt really matter how crowded it is. bad crowds ruin any experience

I attended a Dream Theater concert last October - it was every bit as stunning as I expected it to be (though admittedly I would have liked to have seen them when Mike Portnoy was still in the band, but Mangini is a hell of a drummer in his own right). I'd have to say the best songs in set were Outcry and Endless Sacrifice - they didn't made a single mistake in either of them (or any other song, for that matter).

Oh yeah, I damn near had my bladder burst holding it until the end of the concert - but it was worth it, especially when they played Under A Glass Moon as the encore.

Röyksopp played 80 meters away from my apartment, me and my friend managed to squeeze us up to the front row, it was truly amazing

i dont necessarily have a favorite concert but i do have my favorite concert moments. in a show of like ~100 people i saw MyChildren MyBride play and they encored with Headshot! and it was most memorable concert moment i have ever had. i got goosebumps typing this hot damn

My favorite concert so far was went to Mayhem '09 and '12.

09 I saw Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder (MICHIGAN REPRESENT~), Trivium, Behemoth, and Slayer.

12 I saw The Devil Wears Prada, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying (died in the pits), and Slayer again.

Such a good ****ing festival.
