Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
Which one do you pick. Honestly I think DDR is the best, One because it is the all original and two it's been around longer. *hint hint* Ten years............

Re: Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
You should've added a poll...>.>
Anyways, I like them both, but ITG exceeds DDR expectations IMO. DDR sure has MUCH BETTER music, and it's been around longer, but the newer songs has crappy stepcharts. It's losing its touch, and the charts are starting to lose its originality. Also, it's WAY EASIER than ITG. ITG in the other hand has original and REALLY DIFFICULT stepcharts. When I say difficult, I mean kill your stamina and make-10-footers-in-DDR-look-like-7-footers difficult. Although the music isn't as great as DDR IMO, the custom songs feature for r21/r23 completely destroys it. You can play songs that you stepped on SM and play on an ITG machine to show to others. So my opinion is ITG.

It doesn't matter how long has been out. Don't act like it makes DDR win by a mile. I'd say ITG because its actually challenging and custom songs.

Re: Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
Gee, how many times have we seen this question asked?
DDR was first. ITG is a clone. DDR has infinitely better music. ITG is filled with generic trance/techno, and the songs with vocals are extremely cheesy. DDR has mostly easy charts, and some of them are terrible. ITG has infinitely better charts, and much more difficulty. I don't really care about custom songs when I don't know of an ITG machine that exists within a 50 mile radius of me. Both games are good, and have advantages and disadvantages. I can't pick one or the other. |

Re: Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
look through the forums this has been asked way to many times. DDR is better ITG is a branch off of it. ITG added stupid mines and awesome hands. DDR has my support. well had i dont like all the new ones i stick to the arcade version of extreme. I do play ITG of the hands i think they are fun, but DDR is the original. its like comparing fighting games. The all branched off of one game, i can't say i know the game , but you get the picture. ITG is version of DDR that bettered itself over time. this question is pure opinion...

I'm gonna have to go with ITG. DDR Supernova (home version) ruined my opinion of DDR forever.

ITG all the way. They have better songs, better arrow combinations, and more fun things to do with it (such as hand arrows)

Re: Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
I dont have a ITG machine in my area nor know where to buy it for my home use, but after taking a break from DDR, it is WAY too easy now. ITG is more challenging and has better songs. So I would rather go with ITG. Plus, DDR is dying, they are bringing out less techno like or whatnot songs and has more pop/hiphop/etc. songs that you hear on the radio. That is gay.

Re: Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
Have you tryed DDR X... They actually have a 1-20 scale rating, and there songs are much more difficult than ever before, they actually tend to use 1/16ths now and sync some songs better, i still hate DDR but giv props for them trying to stay up (10 years)

Re: Dance Dance Revolution Or In The Groove?
No way? I personally play ITG, and then go back to DDR, and that's how I get my scores on those 10 footers. Sort of like going to play SM for 4 hours and then moving back to FFR. Except I don't play SM, but it's the same idea. I love both. ;.;
