Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
So basically, I'm going to Chicago in a week and don't know what to do there, etc. As I've done in the past, I've posted on FFR and created some form of meetup with the people so why not do it again.
Anyone in the chicago area want to hang out and play ITG or something next week? Anyone else want to come for a bigger meetup? I'll likely be there the 17th through the 20th, then I'm going to Wisconsin Dells for a day or two. |

I might be down for this. Depending on where around Chicago you are, we hit up GameWorks in Schaumburg for the last meetup.

Re: Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
I don't know where I'll be staying. Last time I stayed with an FFR member right around DePaul University. Was actually hoping someone else would be cool enough to let me stay with them also. Except I have more than just myself so it might be an annoyance. I'm bringing my girlfriend and possibly a friend.
All I know is I want to check out the Sears Tower because it was just ****ing huge last time I was there. |

If you're actually going downtown, I'd dare to say GameWorks is out of the question. However, the DePaul student center does have a hacked ITG machine if my memory serves me right.

Re: Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
**** off its forever gonna be sears tower in my mind.
But keep in mind I'm driving to Chicago from Springfield, MO. 500 or so miles. I don't think driving another 25 for a meetup in the chicago area is something that matters. I'll go where the people are |

Hi flipsta.
GameWorks is a nice choice, though. Anybody that's been there can attest to that.

Navy Pier. Millennium Park. The Planetarium. Shedd Aquarium.
The rest of my suggestions would really only be good in the summer~ Like Six Flags or the beaches off lake shore~

I've been to Millennium Park, but my girlfriend hasn't. We'll probably go there. I'll check out the rest

Re: Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
Chicago trip/meetup was fun this summer, though it did get super hot and couldn't really get pass Millenium Park without melting. GameWorks in Schaumburg is where I suggest a meet up really (Kibby, ohai!). But if it'll be just you and your girl, just go straight for Chicago and visit the parks, Willis Tower, planetarium and Art of Institute.

Re: Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
It sounds like GameWorks might be a good place then. What all is there? Quality of machines, hacked or not, etc?
Pretty far from downtown Chicago but I don't know where I'm staying yet. I-90 is a toll road around there so I guess I'd have to use 290 |

How could you forget Dunkin Dounts at 4am, fantastic idea. Also, I'm out in the suburbs now. Both live and work in the suburbs so city is pretty much only for weekends and such.

Oh I definitely remember Dunkin Donuts at 4 AM. Doing that again would be pretty funny. I was just saying myself as a person was pretty boring when I went up there last time.

What day would be best to do this GameWorks thing? I'm driving Saturday during the day and will be leaving Tuesday.

Re: Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
No ITG machine? I'd prefer a place that has an ITG machine. A hacked one is better.

Re: Chicago Trip/Meetup December 2011
There used to be one, but I don't know where it went. Like I said before, the DePaul student center might have a hacked ITG machine. I played on it about a year and a half ago, but I don't know if it's still there.
