"HAY GUIZE I STEPEPED DIS SONG DAT HAS LIEK A MILLION BAJILLION MEGAF*CKINGROLLS SO I CAN GET FGO FILES IN GAME AM I COOOL OR WAT :3"

let me tell you something. those rolls SUCK ASS

for one, they are generic as hell because all you want is difficulty but the fact of the matter is that they are a basic rhythm with a repeating pattern which is SOOO CREATIVE AS HELL I'M SURE. if you were confident enough about your stepping you'd step something else there.

second this is rhythm game stimulator, not a LET'S SEE IF WE CAN STEP ALL DA RHYTHMS IN DIS SONG AMIRITE. we want to feel like we're playing the song, not following some dumb percussion effect for half a measure

third they don't even feel right most of the time. think about it. how does a rolling pattern stimulate a continuous buzz? that makes no sense

in conclusion, STOP USING SUPERROLLS kbye
I would agree with you, but you know, there's really no other way to emulate that sound with a decent pattern, because freezes are non-existent. Besides, those over-tone buzzing sounds are usually used in songs for higher difficulty anyway, it's not like they are doing it in lower level songs.

we have blanket virt permission? brb submitting visitor LOL

or thrash because only glove has that anyway

edit: ffr conversion for thrash is done, will submit

edit edit: if I submit a file with the difficulty set to the wrong amount (I'm not completely familiar with ffr's difficulty scale yet) will it be correctly set before inclusion?

this is why you're bad at stepping

if a roll pattern isn't fun then you shouldn't be stepping it. you should be focusing on the part of the song that matters: the melody and other effects/harmony etc

also, if it's REALLY necessary to have a roll-like pattern for a short time, spins are usually a good idea because they feel better. and I'm talking about 426842684268 spins, not 248624862486.

ultimately they are the most commonly accepted yet abused pattern in all of stepmania because they are SO F*CKING SIMPLE TO USE AND SHOW NO INTEGRITY WHEN STEPPING A FILE

This is why you're an idiot for not coming up with something better to say.

Who the hell do you think you are to tell me that I suck at stepping? First off, I'm not gonna deny it, I don't claim to admit being the best KB STEPPER (which is all you people care about anyway) ever, but you have no right to instigate things you don't know. Yeah, I'm one of the few people who step something that a LOT of people play, and that's pad charts, so what? I'd love to see you take a shot at doing it. (And I already foresee an answer from SG or one of the mainstream KB artist that says "no one gives a crap about pad stfu nub lololol fgt"

Second off, all I do is nothing but state a proper opinion, and I get back a cheap shot from someone who does nothing but practically copy and paste 50% of a chart and claim it theirs. (Ohi, I play SM too, nice near duplicate from SMG btw.).

Yeah, because Vsnares songs often have a defined melody when there's a fast, over-toning buzz break going on.[/sarcasm]

Some of the index players can move fast enough to hit rolls, but turning them into spins just completely wrecks them. Rolls take more time to learn/master on spread, but index players at least stand a chance at getting combos on them.

You step jazzy-style songs, where there is almost always a defined melody, whereas the DnB/IDM songs that others are stepping have changes in melody, lack in melody, with high-speed breaks where if they want the song to have a high difficulty that is expected of that kind of song, they have to follow the music. Some files on here that have rolls aren't meant to be "fun" (at least, they don't seem to be), but they do increase the difficulty.

Put your ego where your mouth is.
