Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1
Euromorroc is simple, clean, and fun. my only quibble is the level of difficulty throughout the file. I think most would agree that the broken jumpstream is the most intense section of the chart. based on the music, I think the file should climax at the end rather than the middle. just my 2 cents.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1
spoils is getting more flak than it should be cause it's just annoying to aaa
3:45 long rock songs with mindblockable jumgluts are just irritating to whore, and the other files aren't nearly as bad (okay yeah there's bias with that but seriously, the second-longest song is still more than a minute shorter than spoils) it's much easier to speak objectively on songs you don't have to play for the tournament, though that includes me == |

^^
Ally has been designated song thread maker for the duration of the tournament ;D As for the files, D1: Fun and simple little chart, well stepped, love the PR work bmah did with this. Those little mini mini jacks must be a pain for some of the lower D1 players for sure. D2: LOVE this chart, was originally gonna be saved for a later D1 round, but it fits D2 1st pretty well. I like that it is easier and only the dominant piano is stepped, is a lot of fun to play. D3: When I was playtesting/selecting the charts for the tourney, I couldn't AAA this at all, but then when it went on ffr I got it immediately... go fig. BIG fan of 24th/48th stuff, for some reason I hit it more accurately that 16th streams, lol. D4: Another fun chart, that trill in the intro can be a bit of a pain, but the rest of it was stepped perfectly imo. Some of those polys will def give some people some grief, but that is part of the tournament haha. D5: Jumpstream kills me, broken jumpstream kicks me in the balls really hard first, then kills me. D6: I have a better score/pa on this than morroc. Love almost all PtH charts, and this one is no different. that [14][23][14][23][14][23][14] or w.e = fsgfgsfdasfgdds, lol. For those who want to express it in my direction for picking the above charts, I accept hate in forms of mad, rage & bad~ Last edited by nois-or-e; 07-8-2012 at 05:26 AM.. |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1
D1 - Easy, fun, and perfect for the players in D1.
D2 - Nice tricky piano piece that fits players in D2. My only objection are the hands for a D2 chart, but that's just me. D3 - Fun-happy 12th note stream file is fun! A great challenge for people in D3 if they're not good at being consistent. Will either make them better prepared for the coming round or shoot them down. D4 - The very tricky trill at the beginning and the polys in between sections certainly prove a challenge for D4 players (From experience). D5 - This is a hit or miss, I liked it because I love jump streams. Hate it because it they're pretty much the ONLY thing in the last half. D6 - Had to mirror it as I'm definitely better trilling with right hand. Awesome file, very challenging, (But it looks like it didn't stop the well known top players from getting those AAA's quickly.) |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1
I'm just really not seeing the D4 song being a 60. The opening trill isn't too complicated, and even if you mess it up, it's right in the beginning, so not much of a problem. Then there are two bursts, of which the second one transitions really smoothly. I haven't played ffr in a week and got it 3rd try on my laggy laptop since my main one broke.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1
(D1) Lunar Landing - I'll be honest; this was slightly harder than what I expected for D1's first song xD
Nice little file here; pretty expressive for how simple it is. (D2) Death March - Ah Silvie, Silvie, cranking out so many good files so fast haha. Straightforward and fun, though I can see some of those jumps and hands giving our D2 players trouble. (D3) Infinity - Now this was exciting. Short and sweet with a nice swingy rhythm. I'm looking forward to more of your awesome files Brandon ;3 (D4) Addict (Dr. Ozi Monsta r3mix) - Cool song choice here. Not much else to say. (D5) EuroMorroc (Clean Edit) - Another good song. Not sure if this one's my type of file, but it should give people in D5 a good run for their money... >:3 (D6) Spoils - I groaned when I first saw the length, but this was a fine chart. Felt that a couple of sections were fairly tough difficulty bursts, but yeah. As for the song, I'm sure there are many people who like it more than I do xD This week's songs weren't *too* memorable, but they were still well-stepped. Looking forward to Round 2!

I like Death March as a song. Not going to lie, I've never really played songs with hands before, so I guess I'm going to be a sad puppy when I can't AAA it.

The other division charts I'm not playing until I get eliminated (which I know I will). My division's chart (Infinity) I personally found the patterns to be really annoying and this might be the song that gets me eliminated no matter how much I try.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 1
Death March: As is common with early D2 songs, this song contains many hands and even a quad. The string of jumps and hands at the end is far harder than the rest of the file, and is likely where most of the D2 players will have the most trouble AAA'ing. Also, since one-handed players are in a greater abundance in the lower divisions such as D2, those players may have additional trouble with especially the ending section of the song. The 24th bursts with jumps may also trip some players up. Definitely harder than Keep on Driving from last year. (Although since this is still Round 1, I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of AAA's.)

this basically @______________@, then again, I would need to get a better kb so I could AAA it (and luis knows that haha)
