You wanna know how the 66-78 range was established? Originally there was a list of specific songs that gave it, and that was the difficulty range of them. From Rottel-da-station to Piano Etude Gymnastics.

And Scarhand was originally given for only Reality, now it's any 79-84 AAA. Good luck guys!

Edit: Yeah, I'm with Autotelic. With the possible exception of that AAA, the D5 crowd will make mincemeat out of these challenges. Let's see the D4 folks try it and see the reaction first.

When the D5 players finish the 'challenges' they will get the credits for it. When D4 players finish the 'challenges' they will also get credits for the same thing.

I anticipate most people will succeed in the Enigma challenge. Some people will have trouble with It's Time To Party, and Melody can be pretty darn tricky. Do the challenges if you want something extra to do. They give extra credits. The difficulties will vary in the future. There will be more difficult challenges than Melody. The Enigma challenge is probably the easiest these will get.

I'm getting started on updating the spreadsheet now. Points and credits for week 8 will be distributed Monday as that's my day off.

Edit: Challenges highlighted in green on the spreadsheet have had credits sent.

Rotary slicer is not sightread but the rest are. I will improve the rest probably after mother's day. Cheers.

Sleep is a 76, so not quite. Bathwater is either a 79 or 80, though, so good job on that...dick.

76-82 is FGO.... I have the difficulties written down because I didn't like how R3 doesn't show them.... that was uncalled for......

If you're using the old rating system. Why change the labels if they're still considered FGO and not brutal/ridiculous from 83-99? New people are going to be so confused when they see a 66 on the Velocity or Legacy engine labeled as "expert" and have someone tell them that it's actually a low FMO....

But I guess this is the wrong place to bring this up, so fine, if you put it that way now I get why Sleep wouldn't be considered FGO to most veterans.

I'm ok with the 'challenges' being within my reach as I'm still in dire need of credits. My concern was only that the total credits for all challenges is already higher than what anyone gets on the standard rivalry, so it is a bit strange that they are almost trivial for D5 players.

On a side note, the challenges song selection was interesting as the charts focus on skills that aren't well represented on the standard engine.

So, my scores for this week:

I have to kill my wrists to hit the trills properly, I'll stick with my first run score.

Can probably improve but I think this is somewhat solid. Also, the song sucks for consecutive plays.

Huge improvement over my previous score, way more comfortable than I remember back then.

This is insane for me, I could barely do non-clean 8g. Now it is a potential oni get!

Skillboost I guess? There's also a lot of other improvements that I won't dump here, but I'm pretty happy with them.

I only got good scores on oriental sea, which is kinda weird, but yeah it should've been a AAA since I nailed all the bmah spikes, I just lose focus for a split second and it happens /shrug
