So um... What's with the database errors?
Literally no one has said anything about this and it genuine surprises me.
It's kind of getting out of hand here. |

I refreshed thread and
Have they been notified of the error? You should contact them if the problem is persisting. Last edited by gold stinger; 05-10-2016 at 08:49 AM.. |

Users usually notice impacts on the engines and complain about sudden issues with framerate/drops/lag/(etc) - however, the database errors are things that have been going on for a while and there's yet to be any sort of official resolution aside from increasing the number of concurrent connections to the site (or at least, that seemed to be the resolution before).

Re: So um... What's with the database errors?
I noticed a problem with the original Velo engine earlier today. I went to load a chart - the arrows didn't appear. The first time this happened to me was years ago when I had accidentally entered an unacceptable character in either the Arrow speed or Frame Offset fields in the Settings menu. Before, removing those characters fixed the problem, and everything was fine.
This time though.... I had no unacceptable characters, but the arrows would not appear after the song had loaded up. The music would play, but no arrows. So that was my initial thought. I opened the settings menu - I see no unaccepted characters in either of those fields. (For these fields, an unacceptable character would be any letter or ?,<>/}]{[ or anything like that.) So I thought "What's the problem?" Because the song would would play, finish up, and the game screen would not go to the results screen. Not only that, but the time bar (The bar that scrolls across the screen from left to right as you're playing the song - we'll call it the Song Progress bar) would go outside the endfield and continue onward. This was most apparent with Excite Bike. And not once did I see any unaccepted characters in either the offset or arrow speed fields before or after the fact. Does anyone know what the problem is?
