I thought Vash was a white guy. There I go with silly assumptions. At least I now know who it is who insults me on MS. ROFL

Acting is for losers. The tech people are really running the show. And we never get any recognition. You guys would be nothing without us, trust me.

At the college I used to go to, one of the techies hit Miss America '94 on the head with a fly rail before she became Miss America. Apparently she was terrible at following stage directions.

Besides, if you want to do tech stuff, you don't do it for plays. That's for losers who didn't make the audition. Real tech people go into live production - that's where the action is. I can now be switcher, floor manager, video director, director-director, audio, cameraman, graphics, and VCR operator as competently as anyone who does your typical morning show. In other words: Haha n00b.

Actually, actors who know how to do tech work rule all.
Have you ever tried striking a set with a bunch of dance majors who don't know what a "strike" is? |

I am the butter man at my local theater. Basically, it is my job to ask the actors while they are off stage "would you like some butter?" For some reason actors find this question really unsettling. It takes away from the stress. However, I dont really actually carry any butter with me, so if by chance an actor really does want butter, I am in trouble. Thankfully, "man, I really wish I had a stick of butter" isnt a thought that usually runs through actors' minds inbetween scene breaks.

I was being sarcastic, you know. Actors and crew are equally important to producing a good show. Unless it's one of those ultra arty one man shows that just have a stage things. Those things are usually lame anyway.
Tech people on Broadway get paid ridiculous amounts of money for the profession, but I doubt any of the people on this site will ever make it onto Broadway, heh. I don't plan on doing this anyway. I'd much rather become a movie director or some such. |

It's kind of hard to tell when you're being sarcastic towards me when you always proclaim how much you hate me, rofl. Anyways, I agree crews are important. Stage crew, lighting, house, makeup, etc...but they wouldn't be there if there wasn't any acting going on...if you know what i'm saying. The people on tech crews who actually know how to do things and aren't just there because they didn't make it in the auditions rock, though.
