Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
Okay, so this my plan guys:
Those of you with deception artifacts (now referred to as decepticons) need to come out in the thread. This eliminates the possibility of the perception artifact returning an untrue result. When artifacts change hands, the new decepticons announce themselves and the game continues one in that manner. If for some reason the wolves lie, we'll know because there will be too many or too few decepticons. The only way this plan even glitches is if both wolves end up as decepticons on one day, but even then, we know who had the artifacts, and who isn't owning up now, so it severely limits our picking field for seering. In this case, the seer should look for greens (make sure not to pick a decepticon). If anyone has any beef with this plan, say so now, because I think the decepticons should come out before day starts. |

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
I like the plan, but here's the problem:
Say two people come out as deceptions. We use the seering results, blah blah, it works. That night, either: A: the master thief steals one of them, and the wolves hopefully don't go for them because the plan/the master, OR b: both wolf thieves go for one deception each, and there is a good chance they get one. (this is where things get bad) The next day 'okay, deception guys come out' Someone comes out and says 'hay I got one' (oh wait he'd be the master thief and he'd get killed) and the other one is just missing. There's a good chance at this point that a person or two could have two artifacts, or possibly three, and that leaves as a guess around 5-7 people without artifact. From which we must decide who is lying and has it, while being a wolf. Do we just lynch everyone that says they don't have a deception artifact? |

OH YEAH, IT'S TWG~~~!!! That's what it's all about. You're talking about worst-case scenario, where we're down to less than 7 people who might be wolves. That means the rest of them are all human. Is that not good? Don't you think we can just use our deductive skills to figure out the wolves from a pool of 5 people? It's really not all that bad of a worst-case. |

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
actually, it would be better if the people who have the decepticons come out AFTER the seering results. that way the wolves wont have any room to move, and if both of them dont come out, people who seered someone green can be cautious.
but we can almost never trust seerings, because the wolves know what each other have, and can tell the other ones to come out as having the deception stones. anyways, that's my two cents

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade

Say three of the four wolves have artifacts, and the fourth has the deception. That's one wolf in 5-7, which translates into 4 wolves in 20-28. |

Also, also If a wolf has the deception and another artifact, your plan is shot. Then the wolf has snuck into the pool of 'humans' and it's back to square one.

Why the hell were you typing a post in notepad?
Ok... bad question. There is at least one good reason I can think of. However, your post was far too short for what I'm thinking of to apply.

I generally always type in notepad, then paste it over. Bad habit.

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
I guess I should expand a bit:
When I don't use notepad, I use the quick reply, because I'm lazy. However, the quick reply box is small, and I tend to use formatting in my posts that are of any relevance. The quick reply box shrinks everything, and wraps it around, and it just bothers me. (way to go like 25023745 posts so far this page) |

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
Master should consider stealing the unknown from mead.
If you had two decepticons come out you can easily keep control of them because you would have the master steal from one and load up the other 4 human thieves on the other so the chances of a wolf getting ahold of it are at best 33%. But I don't see how having them come out works to any advantage. We can't trust them and all they wouldn't really be doing anything because the next day the artifacts are gone and they have no powers and no one else can really come out because you already have two people out in the open. If the thieves were masons, this would be easier to do XD. I'd almost suggest a thief come out but that would be a slaughter fest and no one would have absolute trust anyway. |

Well I guess now the master should consider stealing the deception from FoJaR.

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
Did you not just read the post above you. Ok so you have a deception artifact, what do you plan on doing with it? What do you expect to happen now? Who do you think is going to come to you etc etc? I don't think you thought the whole thing through because you might as well have told the thread that you were human, would have had the same effect.
No one else come out, two public people should be the max. |

Re: TWG XLII: Raiders of the Temple of the Last Crusade
here's the deal: DBP and kilga both told me they had deception artifacts as well, meaning one of them is lying.
i pretended to have "percepted" DBP, and he claimed he had a deception, whereas kilga just came to me, so i'm leaning DBP, but it could be either of them. i'll probably be dead tomorrow, so i needed to get this out while i could. sorry iggy, but a wolf is worth it.
