Ants suck, but Spiders suck more, and they suck just for the reason Bigjoesmiley124 said. Theyre spooky. They freak me out. Their way of life is just so abnormal to every other living thing, and they got those weird mouths and multiple tiny black eyes and they move funny and sometimes theyre really furry and theyre small so sometimes they can crawl up your pants before you notice their presence, and...

Damn, I hate spiders.

I recently went to Washington D.C., and there were literally thousands of dead cicadas all over the ground under the trees. They're so god damn big that you can actually feel it when you step on them.

Cicadas in Japan, "Semi", are way bigger. They get like over 4 inches long.

*shudder*

I have never seen a Cicada, but for some reason I know how to pronounce the word and I've even heard it before. I just have NO idea where from.

What region do these guys live in? I'm in Ontario. I'm not sure, but I don't think we have them here.

Probably not in New Brunswick either?

Edit: Since some people were also talking about spiders, I'll add my two cents. I don't HATE spiders, as in, I have nothing against them... but... I have really bad arachnephobia. I WISH TO GOD that I wasn't scared of the damn things, I wish so much.. and I've always hated being terrified of spiders.

I can't even understand why I'm so scared. They just creep me out, they really do. I try as hard as I can to deal with them but they drive me insane and I freak out every time I see them.

I think I got it from my mom, because she's WAY worse than me. She can't even stand seeing small spiders on TV. I don't mind it. But if there's a spider in the room, get me out of it, because I'm liable to throw up.

I hate spiders. I'm arachnofearic. Not a phobia quite.

We have cicadas. Whenever I try to pick one up, they flip out at me...not for anyone else though. Weird.

So yeah, we got em. Tons in the southern Midwest, I think, as well as the tenessee/kentucky/13 colonies area.

Yeah, cicadas (pronounced sih-KAY-duhs) are really scary up close, but kinda pleasant when they sit up in trees making their constant, raspy, buzzing noise during the evenings.

I've heard that they only come around every thirteen years for some natural reason. Anyone else heard that? Is it true? If so, why? I don't wanna research it at the minute.

The best part of a cicada's life is the end of it. Watching them slam into your car as you go 50 is extremely satisfying and very morale-boosting. I feel I've made a difference in the future cicada population.

From anywhere in my state you can hear these stupid things. There are about 100 per tree. We have a lot of trees in my state. This would constitute for 1,000,000,000+ cicadas all chirping their happy deadly chirp at the same time. It sounds like a tornado warning alarm, but it's constantly going all day long.

The only consolation is watching squirrels and birds tear apart the idiot bugs. We don't have to feed them for a while ^_^
