1.5 hour AV where we summoned the ice lord. Greatest AV since classic wow.

I'm coming from a PvE standpoint as I find it more fun. I have never really tried PvP besides random fights in the open when leveling up. There's multiple things that drastically changed. You can't plow through mobs anymore, people are learning their new rotation (which I might add that it's a shitload simpler now which is nice but boring at the same time), and tanks and DPS have to think about CC now instead of just topping meters. Healing was broken, especially for discipline priests. Blizzard and players knew that, but there are no emergency heals/cooldowns now (the few that there are, hardly worth the casting/use.) Dungeons are hard as hell atm simply because you can't keep up with the damage from multiple mobs (not even big pulls; simple 2-4 trash mobs are a struggle.) Being 90 is a lot easier than trying to heal leveling up (seriously, level 20-60 healing is horrendous the couple times I've tried with alts; 4 out of 5 dungeons, the group just quit after a couple wipes.) I have a 523 disc priest and it should not be this hard to keep people alive in random dungeons/LFR/normals from simple attacks instead of void zones or when it's DPS/tank fault for their damage where it should be punishing. I can't test what's it like in 429-463 gear but I can't expect it to be more fun or manageable. Blizzard wanted to address the spike/burst damage to kill someone. It's better now for tanks (except monks who lost a chunk of their dodge; they take considerable spike damage at times now.) But theirs hardly any forgiveness if the tanks take a huge spike or if a mob gets aggro'd by a dps. They nerfed the hell out of AoE/raidwide healing, excluding holy nova that will probably be nerfed hard. Druids/shamans are fairing well but monks/priests are falling flat behind those (monks are in the middle while priests are in the bottom). I'm all for balancing it, but as it is right now, healing cannot keep up. There aren't any smart/tactical heals. Spam chain heal/flash heal/PW:Shield/rejuv/etc. to keep hp up. Couple of raids/dungeons that tank actually outhealed me and other healers with the few cooldowns he had with the help of resolve. There's no downtime to do anything. It's bad enough to try and avoid boss damage/void zones when you have to stare at raid frames 90% of the time.

Re: World of Warcraft
So, once the patch hit, instances got ore difficult as well as world questing. Early this morning when they patched a few things, mainly to make instances less difficult, they did the same to world monsters and questing. Was it needed? For instances, hell yeah, I saw tanks getting 1 shotted in dungeons for a 2k+ Overkill. It was ridiculous. was it needed in world? No, it was a nice difficulty, but now, at least for me (lvl 59), taking down 60-63s in just a few seconds, without heirlooms, is too easy. What do you think?

Re: World of Warcraft
This period before the expansion comes out is probably to work out these kinks. It is in the right direction for sure. I am having more fun with retail wow than I have in 5 years.

Re: World of Warcraft
My name is TWG Mega Man, making posts so I can link to posts in TWG is a pain, and I am looking forward to Warlords of Draenor, because Pandaria was silly and unenjoyable.

Re: World of Warcraft
I didn't think Mists was too bad. Took awhile to get used to and they DID add a lot of copyrighted shit (like pet battles which is essentially pokemon) but I enjoyed the numbers except the fact getting PvP gear was atrocious in the beginning where you have to use PvE gear in order to get the PvP gear...
I'm still waiting to see what happens with WoD, but the first three expansions were the best in my opinion.

Pet Battles I don't like, but I do enjoy selling them for tons of gold
Yeah, vanilla-wrath were great, cata and mists were bad.

Re: World of Warcraft
Well I'm having a great time. Heals still seem to do too much though. Everything else is just about right. Too much mobility for all classes I guess, but I can get over it.

Re: World of Warcraft
Finished my transmog thing. Damn weapon glows are too bright. Wish there was a way to disable them. The shard of azzinoth would look much better.

Re: World of Warcraft
First time breaking 20 kills in a battleground. It is MUCH harder to do on retail than it is on the private server because battlegrounds are much shorter, and people don't actually try to pvp and just get objectives done.
