Batman = Pwned?
One thing I absolutely love about the TV Land channel is that I get to watch the old, corny, live action Batman TV series with it's incredible fight scenes and suspenseful cliffhangers.
There are few things that make me laugh like Batman does. The whole corniness of the thing. The ridiculous spandex, Batman's beer belly sticking out, Robin's shorts, the massive array of Bat-Gadgets that are conveniently on hand in every situation, the acting, the Riddler's riddles, the Joker's jokes, Mr. Freeze's freeze, the simple fact that Batman will walk into a Bar for information in broad daylight and scold Robin that he's not old enough to enter a Bar when Robin tries to follow him in. It was a great series. But now, it has been pwned. And who would guess, pwned by none other than Nintendo. http://www.thenerdpage.com/Files/zeldacommercial.mpg No, it's not the dancing Zelda one. Download it. View it in new window. Just watch it. |

Because it's younger than Batman, and it's still cheesier and cornier.

No, the best part of the old batman is because when he'd punch somebody it would go "POW!" and stuff. That was the shizz, yo.

The commercial is more of a "groan, how embarrassing" type thing. Because I actually played Zelda in the 80s, and loved that game like nothing else. So I guess I feel some sort of guilt by association type thing.

Wait, that was a real commercial!? I wouldn't think they'd get a shot of the kid pushing his glasses to his face in the commercial...wow

The batmobile rocks my face, but I'd rather have the car from Nightrider, or the A-Team van.
