Somewhat true... it seems like the doctors did this at the hospital to access his heart to try to keep him alive but failed.

They've finally got that guy in custody. He's being treated for his wounds.

I saw cut each of his limbs off with a very dull knife, untill he has lost just as many limbs as the total number of limbs lost by the people he maimed.

Thing is, no one expects things like that here, as opposed to more unstable countries where that sort of thing is more common. That, and people tend to have more feels for something that happens closer to home. That doesn't necessarily mean that none of us care about what happens elsewhere.

Though I am surprised that no one's posted anything about CISPA yet.

I actually kind of agree with aldentron, it's not much about how close things really are to you, rather how close you feel they are. the media likes to exploit that for their own profit, and most people will drink that shit. I'm not suggesting you all do, but a collateral conditionaing is unavoidable. From an outside point of view, this is ridiculous and i'm personally struck much more from incidents or attacks which kill thousands of people than two guys dead in a marathon, and something happening in my backyard or at the other side of the world doesn't change that.

The main thing here is that people wouldn't like reading big headlines and long texts about bombings in places like Afghanistan and Iraq anymore. It's "interesting" at first, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to fill multiple pages with basically the same news over and over again for years. People would stop reading that. And as a medium, you're simply forced to conform to the news that people are interested in hearing.

It's not so much "fuck the media", it's more "fuck the human priority system" or something.

i agree with fuck the MSM. i can't believe retards across the whole political spectrum get attention while saying dumb shit. in this specific instance, the left really shine (otherwise it's mostly glenn beck and hannity)

le epic fail for whoever put le epic fail on the pictures

MSM are businesses though, and i know youre anti corporate whatever but you gotta realize they are out to make a profit. they need readers, and the readers arent interested in what isn't relevant to them. Newtown massacre? there was a mass stabbing in China that took place too. but it's not just americans who are insensitive in general, people around the world are just oblivious/apathetic towards anything big or small that doesnt relate to them.

and i think you meant to say fuck yeah, israel because israelis are badasses and wont cave in towards the surrounding shitty countries after being harassed and shit for over 60 years

The israel-middle east problem is very complex but i definitely wouldn't praise israel like that.

Regardless, as much as the media survives on its public, thus they need to always be appealing and "fresh", when a service of information becomes a showcase of black entertainment, human cases, conspiracists and falsehood it not only loses a good chunk of its natural purpose (to inform people) but also makes people dumber. A low level of information creates dumber people which will be more inclined to watch stupid and/or sensationalistic shit instead of a good, documented but surely less spectacular service of information.
