Mac version
I'd really like to see a Mac version of this game. Playing it online is laggy, even when I turn the quality down, and it screws up my game. I know I'm probably in the minority here when I say this, but it still wouldn't hurt to have a downloadable version for Mac users.

Denethor,
If you are willing to help me find a program that smashes .swf files together for mac distribution (no, not just the projector) then I will distribute the Mac version. I am looking for a program on the Mac that does this but have not had it as a top priority. Something similiar to swfXXL for the PC is what I am looking for. Cheers, Synthlight. |

I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about. Do you mean Stuffit expander?

Mac's don't handle .exe files. You'd need something to change it to a normal Mac program file.. (not sure what that is).
And yes, Flash MX does have a version out for Mac.. It's about $300 thought, so I don't have it... As far as I know, you can check download.com or mac.com or apple.com... I don't know much about converting Flash or .swf files. |

Well..
If you don't decide to do this anytime soon.. at LEAST give the online version the ability to disable the background graphics.

For a Mac Version:
.EXE won't work. But, any .ZIP or .RAR file will work on a Mac, as well as a PC. I believe you can zip .SWF files with WinZIP, or .RAR them with WinRAR. That should be easy enough. As you can see, I'd like a mac version also. ^^ |

As far as I know, .swf should work by itself on the Mac...
Quimbley is right, though. Any .zip or .rar can easily be unzipped by Stuffit Expander... |

Mac applications usually have the extension .app, but most of the time you can't see it, so I'm not too sure on that, although every app I've seen where the extension was shown, it was .app.

Whoa, you guys are way off base.
SwfXXL is a program that takes a .swf file (like FFR) and converts it to allow it to run fullscreen with pretty much the same performance as in a small window. Synth uses it to run FFR in fullscreen with very little retooling. the only problem is: The new .swfs created by SwfXXL can't run on Macs. A good 15-minute sweep of the web comes up with no other alternatives. The only workaround I can think of is put an unoptimized .swf up for download, but that would run exactly the same as on the web.

Except for those who don't have the web on certain computers, even an unoptimized version would be a blessing.
We've got to think about everyone here. |

The problem is not compressing it but rather distribution and performance. While I could bypass the perfomance issue, i would rather not release a handle of seperate .swf files. I would like to compress them together into one program. No, not using .rar or .zip or mac compression utilities. I mean an actual wrapper for the bunch of .swf files that would be included.
I will continue to look for a solution. I have not forgotten about the Mac users. Cheers, Synthlight |

Okay, I understand.
No pressure, I'll just play it online till something can be worked out. |
