Yeah, the part that combines a jack and a trill simultaneously.

Before I say this, please note that I am by no means trying to be rude. I have no idea the amount of work that goes into compiling this list.

BUT

I feel like we have been talking a lot about details and having some intense discussions... and yet we have no updated list. We have been rating songs for a LONG time and yet we have no list that has them compiled. Will this list ever get updated? And if not, what is the point of debating the small details so much?

hint: go look what Sulfer or Manti did before, then you'll see what to do to update this thread.

yes, theres a hell of a lot of work to do to update something like this. but thats the kind of mission you take on when you make a sticky like this. this is why I took over the artist blanket permission thread. nobody updated it. and its an IMPORTANT THREAD.

quite frankly, if you cant be bothered updating it (doesnt matter how long it would take) then you should hand the responsability down to somone who will.

Now if somone here would like to step up then great, but if noone else is prepared for the vast amount of things you have to do to update this thing, then i will be happy to take over.

if theres anyone else who seriously wants to take over then go ahead.

but jim, this thread NEEDS to be updated.

I don't know how they let people update, but I can take manti's notes and everyone elses and update. I am generally pretty good with this stuff, and can keep an update going as I don't have much to do and have a lot of free time

also:

Perfect Cherry Storm: 82-83
Kidney Stone: 86

suggestions?

Just from my experience, I found Perfect Cherry Storm to look intimidating, but in the end, it wasn't hard to PA. The 32nds could hit as jumps (you may need to slightly adjust for the 32nd spins) and the 16th streams were fairly straightforward - just requires concentration at that speed.

song speed: high (over 200 bpm for sure)

arrow density: high (arrows keep coming for most of the song)

chaos/awkward patterns: 5/10 (would mainly be attributed to transitions from 16th streams to 16th jumps and the changes in 32nd patterns)

song length: 4/10 (song of typical almost 2-min. length, but feels shorter to me IMO)

overall difficulty: 79-80?
Attribute that has the most weight on song's difficulty: song speed and arrow density

BTW Bolth man, this is kind of a prototype example of how I would more objectively rate a song's difficulty. Sure it's more work, but I think the rating system could progress more this way.

Kidney Stone: ouch. All I have to say is that it's too fast for my hands. My biggest gripe is that the 16th jumpstreams are too messy. It's like the arrows were placed thoughtlessly. Jumpstreams could look nice too you know!

yeah, that is a lot of work, and if somone is honestly ready for that kind of commitment whenever new songs come up, then you should seriously consider taking over..

if they did, somone woul need to compile a list of every song not on the list on the front page and organize it.

I don't need someone who take over this thread.

just want the list of song-difficulty (1-99 scale) which hasn't been done yet (from a trustworthy player preferably).

for which songs from which point on? I'll do it and discuss with bmah and others

And I haven't played Perfect Cherry storm so idk, I'm just going off the 1.75x replays I've watched, and it looks quite intimidating, maybe it won't be that bad and I'll AAA it actually, who knows

I'm sorry, I have some major issues with some songs in that list, here are my problems (thought I'm just me so these are IMO and stuff)

Casket of Star: 68? WTF? This is at least 70, the AAA count is extremely low for a 68, and tricky patterns and notes make tricky song, not because it's hard FC wise, but it's hard PA (AAA specifically) wise.

Brandish Headless: I'd make Brandish 80, definitely, it's much harder than EHHS

Toxiferious: Not a big problem, but I'd definitely raise it to 82

Strawberry Sweetz: Okay, if this is 84, Reality needs to be a 72. This song is insane, stamina and PA wise. The patterns are annoying and confusing, the 32nd bursts create jacks, the long 4 framers make for tired hands, and then the roll wall that alternates? 85 AT LEAST. Everyone I've talked to agrees 85-86, personally I'd make it an 86, but that's just me. Btw, SDG on reality is rank 75+, SDG on Strawberry is 15 and lower, yeah, I see a problem there

That's it, what really upsets me though is just SS and CoS, but discussion can probably fix that

Agreed on Casket of Star. The song is really tough. I don't know the proper number, but it is definitely too low right now.

As far as Brandish, I don't see why that should be rated that high. It is no harder Church Bells to me.

Strawberry Sweets isn't that hard to PA for me, but it's LONG. I think that should move it up.

The only one I have a big problem with is Far Away from Home. That song is hard to AAA. It took me a LONG time. A 60?? No way.

Look at the number of SDGs [for me this is 'better than 10-0-0-0'] on the difficulty 84 songs. CP has 4, Blue Rose has 14, FN has 62, Ketsarku has 46. Maybe it's time to move Reality down (it has 70)? Or maybe people are just really good at Reality since it's basically a speed song with no tricky patterns in it.

CP has a gay part, it doesn't count

Blue Rose should be an 85 just due to PA from the trill and jacks

Everything else is way above 50, so yeah, Strawberry should be moved up

I just remembered a song I had a huge problem with. In my opinion, 4F73R M3 (FFR edit), is terribly misplaced. Just look at the jacks near the end and tell me if that song is really a 7.

It's really a 7, just an annoying 7

Gymnastics as highest FMO is ok, it's not a necessary FGO, it's a fine border song, unlike DP, which should obviously be 13
