So how did my simfiles do? (Bagpipe, Alien Temple) Tell me what's wrong with them so I can fix them.

Nobody has played Bagpipe yet, but here is what one of our judges said for Alien Temple

Quote:
the minijacks don't fit at all. if they are correctly synced, then there should be more of them throughout the whole file, since whatever it's synced to is constant in the background for a lot of the song. 16th patterns could have been a little better in general. the 32nd patterns were annoying to hit and the trills could ruin an otherwise good score; 32nds like this should either be rolls or an easy-to-hit repeating pattern. don't use 16th freezes - i couldn't even tell if they were going to anything.

overall the big problems were inconsistent syncing and the 32nds. this song really isn't great either.

He missed a major part of the song that was off.The 24ths he used at one part are not on sync. They are not 24ths at all. They are single 64th notes along with some single 32nd notes and 16th singles.

hmmm anyone play tribe attacker here?

I thought the song was cool and who ever judge it, thanks. I'll fix those problems and put it in the FFR database. Like you said, the song isn't that good anyway. It doesn't derserve to be in a pack like this, my steps aren't that good anyway lol.

Tribe Attacker:

Quote:
In measures 5 - 12 the little 16th streams should start with jumps

I'm questioning the layering, at least on the 12ths. They all feel like single note jacks and jumps instead of jumps and triples

It has some 16th triplets that are all jumps, and the last two are kinda like jacks (example: end of measure 16). The first two jumps in those should be removed

double jack gallop things (measure 20 and some other places) don't feel right. That yellow note doesn't need to be a jump, or even a jack maybe

Some other things too maybe but I'm too tired to think about any more errors. This sim could actually be pretty good and maybe accepted if these things are changed

My ideas that will make this improve:

Replace Legacy with Iamme, Yessss (OMG PLEASE DO IT AS ****), Patashu, or aperson.
Make Kn33groW a judge.

That's it. I'll be making songs shortly for the pack, but having them heavily critiqued first before I submit since I kinda need it.
