phoenix wright: dual destinies
so i just finished the game (not the DLC episode yet though) and i have to say i liked it, but it seemed a lot shorter than the other games.
there wasnt a single case that was 3 days long. basically too many anime cutscenes (i'm fine with like, zero) and not enough sweet game content. also i disliked how easy it was. too much handholding. i'm definitely in the mood for some good old fashioned phoenix wright now, and i'm gonna have to go back and play them all. BASICALLY: hope the next one is longer and harder.

Re: phoenix wright: dual destinies
The rest of the game is dlc and it's on the cartridge lol
Perhaps Capcom's getting the wrong idea from it's fanbase about what makes a good Phoenix Wright game. :/ |

no, apparently they're announcing a new game in 2014.

It might be because this game wasn't made by the same person who did the other games.
The team that made DD tends to make their games easier, with more focus on crosscase story. I've heard that they're also doing the next Phoenix Wright game, but don't quote me on this. |

Re: phoenix wright: dual destinies
I enjoyed the game for what it offered. The cases were interesting and were all fun to play through.
I agree with the hand holding part though. The game never really said to you "Mess this up and you get major penalty", or "Only one chance, get it wrong and Game Over". That's what I liked in the previous game. It brought a lot of tension as that meant the next choice you made could potentially lose the case and you'll have to start where you last saved. This game does this auto-save thing where if you mess up enough times, it doesn't send you back all the way to the beginning or where you last saved, it sends you where you made the mistake. Pretty much is eliminated the "Oh shit, don't mess up" feel because you could make as many mistakes as you want and just keep trying over and over. Granted, you could this anyways by just saving and reloading a save every time you mess up, but you get the picture. |
