New Permission - Brian Crain (Conditional)
So I nabbed a permission from Pianist Brain Crain. You might have seen some of his songs on youtube or other places.
For now, he's allowed the songs Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, and Rain to be used. However, he's specified only for a licensing period of one year (this usually costs 55 bucks a song, but I got it for free!). I can see if we can get them as a perpetuity, but when the time comes he will consider extending it to forever. Youtube Links to his songs: Earth - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LSH7AnkhaA Water - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1rirMz9Ues Wind - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THiq5pB2_cg Fire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-mosqnq4x0 Rain - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72xLRYnhxro These are all from his Piano Opus album, which was released in 2009. Cheers! PS - If there is a lot of demand for stepping these, I can see if I can get some other song permissions.

Heh, thanks. I think that we really need to get more classical artists/songs into FFR. I'm looking into getting more permissions from pianists.

cool permission, really hope you can get that extension. One year is such a short time just because we dont know when the next batch is going to start, then once it does the batch process takes a bit to get through as well as having to wait even longer if a chart does get accepted. By time all that is done we would be having to remove the chart from the game. So ya, really looking forward for the extension.

Exactly my thoughts, Plan. I'm working to see what I can do. Also, OWA, I sent Malinowski a message over YouTube. I should expect a reply sometime today or tomorrow.

OWA, in regards to Malinowski, he sent me a speedy reply via YouTube; however, I had to send the request, plus how his song will be used / what he will get in return, via email. I should receive a response soon. I'll keep you posted.
