ddreamstudio / sm5 issues
I made a stepfile for a song in ddreamstudio that had a BPM change, and I saved it as a .sm file (not the single-bpm option). Opened it up in SM3.9 and it worked perfectly, and everything was in sync. Opened it up in SM5 and there were no BPM changes and all the arrows started way too early.
I tried the same with a single-bpm .sm file and that didn't change anything. How can I fix this? I searched around the forums and did some googling to no avail. |

Kommi should know what's up, be warned that he will just tell you to stop using ddream. Don't listen to him though he's crazy

Re: ddreamstudio / sm5 issues
SM5 reads step timing changes over song timing changes
unfortunately I don't know how to export files from ddream under song timing, which is what you want, because i'm unfamiliar with ddream haha http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...80&postcount=8

Re: ddreamstudio / sm5 issues
first, which sm5 are you using, because there has been changes in the code for autogeneration from old negbpm's and stuff to sm5 timing system
second, no need to convert files from .sm to .ssc because sm5 does it for you also I step with ddream (or 3.9+ for xmod) and use sm5 for playing because the editor in sm5 is fucking shit

Re: ddreamstudio / sm5 issues
SM5 Beta 2a
i ended up very tediously figuring it out by using the BPM that DDream calculated (by putting a beat at the very start of the song and one at where the song's beat starts) and using SM5's editor to make the very first measure run at 8.55 BPM. still, i want to know if there's a way of doing the bpm changes in ddream and then play straight away in SM5 without any of this crap Last edited by johnnyboy898; 06-28-2013 at 08:25 AM.. |
