Default Bug: MP Song Negation? o.o;

Well, I don't know if this is an old glitch, or something that was going to be fixed/addressed later, but I'm gonna post it anyway, just in case.

I had been in an MP room with a few of my friends. Being that I didn't want to wait for Hajnal to finish, I decided to play Blooddrunk. I got a good somewhere in the beginning, so I quit. BUT, I never hit "Try Another Level."

So, the songs for the next round were chosen, and then I hit the button, and well...the song circles turned red, saying not selected, regardless of the player's actual status.

I did it again, and got pictures of it to make sure that it was right (credit to kcfp_kthbai and Froston for allowing me to test this on them.).

This is me failing out, while the other players continue to play. Notice how the song titles from the actual game, and the scoring bars, are different.

Figure 2:

After the players finish their song, they go on to choose another one. The player not involved (me), has not hit the "Try Another Level" button.

Figure 3:

Regardless of the status on both player's song (whether it is loaded or not), the moment that the player who is not involved, clicks the "Try Another Level" button, the song that the players in the match have chosen, will disappear, or be "negated". This would force either one player, or both players to have to refresh.

I know, I went in-depth on a really minor bug, but hey, anything to make it perfect!

Been around for a long time. I use to do figure one sometimes. Figures 2 and 3 still occur whether you're the spectator or the opponent.

Can you resurface the MP average jump death glitch too? (When you hit a jump as an average, you automatically die on mp, happens a good 80% of the time (most concern during lags). <- got shot down 3 times already.

My Pants sdg got wiped because of it.

Also, MP sometimes makes the green circles spaz red during an MP gameplay, which I find annoying.

But, I have never experienced this glitch before.

it isn't a minor bug. i've always thought it was the biggest and most annoying bug in mp. anyway, i believe this happened somewhere around the time when synth said that xelius was doing some improvements to mp and nothing happened except this.

to avoid slow "try another level" clickers, i usually hit whatever section like d2 or what have you twice or however many times. this brings up the challenge and ffr shop buttons to the side even when you're loading the song. if the circles turn red when you've already loaded the song, you hit the challenge button, exit, turn back on your speed mod, and then select the song again.

not sure if that was clear, but that's my work around. i really hope this can be fixed.

Ah, so clicking the button as an opponent can trigger the same glitch as well.

frankly, i can't stand it when spectators play along with the people that are playing.... i don't understand the purpose of it, at all. i really think we should disable playing when you're a spectator in a room. i don't know of anything good that comes out of it.

but, there are plenty of bugs in MP... *sigh*.

I may sound hypocritical, but I do believe you. Playing FFR as a spectator is a bit awkward, and senseless. However, I was with a group of people who were playing leisurely, and not a serious ranked game, so I played along. However, this does not stop the fact that this glitch CAN still be done as a competitor of a match if one of them decides NOT to hit the "Try Another Level" button. Even though that I brought up this bug from the spectator's point of view, I would assume that the problem would be the same from the player's point of view too.

I hate that glitch. I hate it when you can double click (both SP and MP) on a song too fast, it doesn't tell you what percentage you are on.

one good: Spectators don't get bored while waiting for a game to finish. The ultimate purpose of spectating is to be able to talk to the players in the room. There's really no fun in watching the numbers go up, so the spectators play the game along with the players. There are no alarms as to when players finish songs, so spectators don't have much other option except to stay at the game screen.

You can just say, people can talk to other people if they want to talk with someone... but then there's no purpose for the function of being able to spectate mp games anymore. Spectating can be disabled entirely.

Then I've known about this glitch since MP started. Yes, if one person clicks out of the result screen and then picks a song before the 2nd person has clicked out of the result screen, the 2nd person's click away will wipe the song selection.

Now... it doesn't ACTUALLY wipe it away... it just disappears from being visible. So if they click again to load, and the 2nd person loads the same song, it'll work just fine.


Then, the other issue mentioned, about not being able to select a new song if you click and load the wrong one... that is a bugfix of a bigger bug. it is the lesser of 2 evils. deal with it.

I agree, Frankly sometimes i have trouble finding people to play with so Sometimes i'll just find a room with people playing around my MP level and play along with them and chat and have fun. No need to take out a feature that is unharmful to the game.
