About 45 mins on this one. I made a timelapse video for it as well for those of you trying to learn.

**edit: I actually just thought about this, but uhhh, that video isn't the best learning material since I only painted on one layer (if you want to correct a mistake with only 1 layer it's 10x more work), so maybe I'll make a better timelapse video more geared towards beginners next time lol.

**** that, paint on one layer. Forces you to be confident with your strokes and if you make a mistake, you just paint over it. :J

I agree with that, but beginners aren't quite as confident as you or me and working with different layers is super beneficial (and learning to use layers is extremely useful anyway).

Which is why I think starting with painting on one layer would be more beneficial, since you develop a better understanding and more confidence early on. Layers are useful regardless though, I agree.

That looks awesome.

I just hate how everything flows then there's a couple random strokes that show up really square and kinda just thrown in. (Bottom right corner-ish)

30 mins speedpaint i wish i could accomplish something like that in 30 mins.
I can only simple things in Photoshop.

But if i photoshop i make always backgrounds or something i never draw anything.

Speedpainting isn't about detail, it's just getting a feel for the scene, establishing a base mood or concept. They're quick and grungy for a reason.

Onward.

Not exactly a speedpainting, was up all night with this. Painted in about 9 hours.

Wow imgur compresses the **** out of this, artifacts everywhere.
