[Liquid Drum & Bass(!?)] As I Gaze Into Space
CBR does Liquid DnB, what?
I'm not quite sure how this happened, but as I was composing, as I do almost daily, this spacey chord progression simply came to mind and just HAD to work with it... seeing as it was unfitting for breakcore I decided to give Drum & Bass a try. One thing led to another and now I have this what I belive would be classified as a liquid dnb WIP: https://soundcloud.com/cbr/as-i-gaze-into-space I have a few inquiries since this would be my first time producing Liquid D&B, or whatever you wish to call this genre. Whats good, what's bad, and most importantly am I on the right track? Should I keep producing this genre or stick to break/core? I'm not quite sure myself, but I do like the way it sounds so far! Enough talk, hopefully you enjoy this more calm side of mine. And yes this already mixed and mastered Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 12-9-2012 at 01:17 PM.. |

I'm very limited to music knowledge but the one thing this song needs is panning of instruments and synths. You can do it progressively for the synths, going back and forth from left and right. Maybe a little bit of permanent pans as well for instruments.
I really like it so far, just needs a more lively feel.

Damn the intro makes me really think about, say, some 80's synthetisers. Then it switches on something more atmospheric, it could be an ambient work.

I like this so far, but it could really use some stereo separation as it feels extremely centered right now. The ending part also drags on for a bit, but I guess I shouldn't expect too much of an unfinished track hehe

Like the bass, perfect liquidy feel with the chorus effect

repetitive drum sequence gets old very fast, it's definitely a good first attempt at the genre, though. i think the opening voice would work a lot better if it was muted or mellowed out
