question about cutting a song.

I have ran into this problem alot, where I am stepping and midway or towards the ending I feel the song kind of drags and I want to cut it.

Is there any way to cut the song later, while still keeping the notes?

Bcuz every time I replace the song file it won't work with the notechart.

replace the MP3 in the current song file with the new, cut MP3. Might need to do some editing to the .sm file to get to your finished product though. Always advised to cut before stepping.
