Re: TWG XCI Host Sign-ups
Would you guys mind if I gave hosting duties over to syhto? I really would rather play in this game than host it.

Re: TWG XCI Host Sign-ups
afro. The concept sounds so cool. I'd love to see how it plays out.
EDIT: The fact that Afros game has better and more balanced rules and a better concept (over mine) makes me like it even more.

Re: TWG XCI Host Sign-ups
Afro's game looks good. 3:13 seems fair with only a Guard, and with Instas turned off (since, as we all know, instas help wolves, not humans). You guys must have some serious problems with attrition, judging by the relatively extreme measures people are going to to discourage activity. I hope people get the message.

Re: TWG XCI Host Sign-ups
The problem with running a game for mostly 15-20 year olds on the internet over several days is that most of the people are barely/not at all active once the game actually gets going.
We have the same problem with every other kind of event we run. People sign up and then are unwilling to actually put in the specific time commitment they agreed to. When we run our official FFR tournaments, we have usually somewhere betwen 20-50% of people who signed up fail to even submit for the first round, and that's an event with prety substantial prizes. |

If Syhto is hosting, she should make signup thread.
So yeah, mandy, start signup thread plz. And remember: announce time of signup so we (read: I) can plan in advance to be at the thread at the given time. That's what I told him. I think he's just afraid that he'll be on the opposite team of me and he'd be dominated.

Re: TWG XCI Host Sign-ups
I voted for the host, obviously I'm intending to play. I -was- working 6-day weeks on alternating shifts and whatnot, but I got laid off so I have time on my hands.
I already played once before and was pretty put off TWG by the general complete lack of any actual logic or reasoning being applied to the game. Random accusations, leapt-to-conclusions without reasonable justification, bandwagon voting, it just didn't strike me as particularly fun or interesting. Lately it seems like at least -some- people are making -some- effort to apply some actual logic and reasoning to the game, so I'll give 'er another go. As I recall from the game I played, even before being able to demonstrate that I would be good at the game, I was getting the Manti "Didn't die on night 1, must be a wolf" treatment. Hopefully that won't be the case this game. |

Re: TWG XCI Host Sign-ups
Actually, you didn't fish me out as MW. Lito screwed up and posted a wolf-talking log to a non-wolf accidentally, and when I said the log was fake, everyone told me I was "being defensive"
I distinctly remember getting a message from Lito apologising for making us lose the game. Also, I will deny to the bitter end that I was Master Wolf in my first game -randomly- |
